In addition to the food being crappy & the Bud served was 3 months past freshness date . . .
seems my review did not pass muster because I said the owner of Lot 1 also flew the rainbow flag . . .
First visit was Good time with wife. Second vistit with a buddy that I talked up the place to was a solid bust. Â Find it hard to believe I will be back soon or more importantly, Â recommend this place to anyone. Â I've learned why the reviews are so up and down. Â Could be a great 5 star with the right staff and ownership. Â Really disappointing.
Review Source:Stop #1 on the Dubuque to Galena tour. Â A liberal arts town deserves a few hip watering holes. Â This bar could've been contenda, but the clientel was....what's the word. Â Well, let's just say that if a certain segment of the population takes over a joint, best to fly the rainbow flag out in front. Â It was uncomfortable. Â Too bad, as Monday nights are "crappy can nights," ($1 for PBR, Keystone, Old Milwaukee and Hamm's cans...Hamm's, something we see nothing of in VA).
Review Source:Another solid addition to Dubuque's revitalized Main Street district, joining the Grape Harbor, Manna Java, The Busted Lift, and the Pepper Sprout. Lot One fills the sports bar niche, but it's a class joint all the way. The numerous plasmas give just about every seat in the house a great view of the game, but the dark wood, stamped tin ceiling and framed art all raise the place a couple notches above your standard sports bar. They also have a good selection of imports and microbrews on tap. Someone invested a lot of money in renovating this space, and it shows. There is a dinner menu featuring burgers, sandwiches and salads, but there's not many tables and don't go expecting to have a quiet meal!
