I knew I picked the right spot when I saw our server was a pretty girl with a shaved head and covered in tats. Stopped here for lunch on a whim while exploring the city on a weekday afternoon. Ordered the wings, a beer and the Dave feister feast. The food was great, the view was cool and our server, Megan, was really fun and friendly. Had an awesome time. Definitely coming back here for lunch again soon.

Ugh...60 year old's doing karaoke for most of the night. The set up is pretty cool inside though. I wanted to check out some live music but we got there too early and the karaoke was getting unbearable, even on the porch/patio area outside. Cheap drinks...I don't think they serve more than just appetizers. Full liquor, but NO BEERS ON TAP...just bottles.

Great place to escape for a drink or an appetizer when you're hanging out on the beach just below. I've never been here for concerts but it looks like a good spot to do so. Nice staff. Easy parking.

Hubby and I took my Uncle to Lou's when he was visiting this past week.  We had not been before and were waiting for a good reason to go since we live just down the street.  The beach front location is great.  There are not may beach-front places close by.  We read the Yelp reviews and laughed at the 85 year old woman singing Frank Sinatra, but I think she was there for karaoke LOL  We are in our mid 40s and our guest is in his mid=60s, so we found the crowd fun!  All age groups, everyone having a blast.

The staff was welcoming and fun!  Our server took the time to explain the funky menu names to us.  We ordered a few beers and had chips and salsa while deciding.  Ended up with an order of a dozen oysters that were fresh and delicious.  Also shared the conch fritters, which were just OK, but we're spoiled.  The grouper fingers and sweet potato fries were great.  Hubby had the blueburger with a generous amount of toasted blue cheese.  The regular fries were disappointing and very "high school cafeteria".  They need to work on that for sure, we didn't eat any of them.  The filet of soul was really good too.  We were pleasantly surprised at the freshness of the food and the prices. They had Top 40 dancing starting a bit later, 9:00 I believe, and the place was filling up even more around the time we left.

We will be back for food, service and local fun!

Stopped in on a whim (I've driven by it a few times and it looked colorful enough for me). Quite a dive bar once you get inside. Mannequins on every side, zombie heads hanging from the ceiling, Clinton in a corner, bras and panties hanging from the chandelier, and barber chairs for you to sit on and take it all in. But don't let the randomness of the place scare you. The staff are awesome and the crowd is nothing but a good old fashioned time. They don't have much of a selection when it comes to beer and they're limited in their options for karaoke music, but still it is entertaining to see a 85 year old woman sing Frank Sinatra in a place like this. I recommend it because you don't see a place like this often and it is a great place to go out and people watch (if that's your thing). So I suggest stopping in if you ever get the chance, you'll walk away with an interesting story - I know I did.....and it had nothing to do with the 85-year-old-Frank-Sinatra-singing woman.

Incredibly high quality cover band and fun, dancing crowd on a recent Friday night.  We were in town the weekend Sandy was skirting the coast and despite the miserable weather outside, this place was packed and felt like a huge, laid back party.  No cover, great music, everyone on the dance floor....not much more you can ask for from a local bar.

This is a fun and broad crowd.  You pretty much have all walks of life in their on a Firday or Saturday.  From the biker to the yuppie!  The live blues music is fun and the atmosphere is a lot of dancing and hanging out.  The parking isn't too bad, but it can get packed later at night.  It's must try for a beach side bar of Melbourne FL.  Beer and drinks are pretty cheap too.  I will be returing, it's a great place to take friends.

I was out in Melbourne, FL for work.  I always try to take in some local nightlife and Lou's was suggested to me.  The layout is very cool - upstairs and downstairs bars and a large patio bar.  The live band played from a stage that floated in between the two levels.  It was as if it was designed to keep rabid fans from rushing the stage and gave me a Blues Brothers flashback "chicken wire?"

I also enjoyed the crowd.  It felt like your laid back, beach biker bar.  I wouldn't be surprised if a Hooper-style brawl started at any minute, but am pretty sure it won't.

Stopped in here yesterday on a whim. Was driving through the area in the afternoon, on my way back up to Northeast Florida. Saw "Blues" in the name as I passed--I love Blues music--so I made a u-turn, went back, and went in.

Did not eat or drink because it was the afternoon, and I was not hungry or thirsty. Did stay for almost an hour though just chatting with two employees and a regular. They told me all about the bar, the area, and other music venues in the area. They were SUPER nice and friendly! I loved the look of the place--kitschy, all kinds of interesting things to look at on the walls. The menu is round, pasted to a vinyl record. Very cute. :)

I will definitely keep an eye on their music schedule; if there's a band I want to see, I would drive the two hours south to go see, in a heart beat.

    Yay! I'm a fan.

The food is great, seeing that this is just a bar.  I wasn't expecting anything spectacular.  But I love the atmosphere here.  More for regulars.  But glad I stopped by on vaca.  I did come back on a weekend, and it was jam-packed.  Would definately come back next time!

Again, Yelp lets me down  because I can't give  1/2 stars.  Lou's is a solid 3 1/2- better than a 3, but not quite a 4.  We were in Melbourne for the weekend and, while driving along A1A, saw the sign that causes our car to automatically turn- "KARAOKE!".  We were a little late for karaoke, but decided to stay for dinner and the band.  The food was standard bar fare- good, but nothing to write home about.  The drinks were strong, however, and the service was excellent.  Our glasses never went empty and the return trip with more liquor was quick.  We went back the next day for karaoke and were equally impressed.  The decor is unusual, but I enjoy kitsch, so it was right up my alley.  I don't know when I'll be back in Melbourne, but I'll keep Lou's on my list of places to hang out.

I've been here several times. Food is decent for a bar. Atmosphere is pretty good. The staff quite nice. Lou has been there every time I went. He spends a lot of time wandering through the crowd, talking to people, etc. I think this is great and one of the reasons this place is successful. Music is hit or miss. Some nights it has been great and very entertaining. Other nights, have been mediocre. It all depends on the band.

Lou's is the only show in town when it comes to funky blues joints, so it can't help but make me a fan.  I agree that the beer selection is lame and the food lamer, but the parking lot is full of bikes, the place is full of semi-cuetips in leathers, the second floor deck has a great ocean view, which is hard to get locally, they get some great blues acts coming through, and watching the dancers from the balcony can be all the entertainment you can ask for on a Saturday night.
BTW, not only was it a Chinese restaurant in a past life, but it also housed a clandestine bordello upstairs.
Personally I can't get my head wrapped around the stuffed mannequin  baloney and the place feels just a bit desperate, but in a town with limited options, Lou's Blues is welcome with open arms.

Good atmosphere.  No draft beer, and a limited selection of bottles, but this isn't a brewery, it's a bar.  Even the background music was great, can imagine this place gets rockin' later in the evening. Didn't have food.

Always a good time at LB's!  In my mid-30's so definitely on the younger side of the crowd, but it's always entertaining to watch the band, drink beer, and

Good for the experience, but we won't be going back. The music was good and it was hysterical to see the bra pole, but the beers were not cheap, the food was only okay, and it seemed as if everyone there was a regular.

A fun, very laid back & friendly spot for live blues.  The only negatives are no upstairs bathroom, no draft beer and a pretty weak bottled beer selection.  Great value, though as the beers they do have are super cheap.

A great place to meet cougars to buy you all the beer you can stand.  Music is great, a much older crowd, but still a good time.

Lou's brings back fond memories of my "free" days out in LA cruising the freeways to Mt Wilson on my Norton Commando; a significant difference is that here the parking lot is packed with Harleys, but at least my Norton shared a common trait of two wheels. ;-)

Decades have passed by and time continues to speed up. Last weekend I rode to Lou's on my bicycle (hey Harley people, it's still two wheels!), having years ago abandoned bikes and airplanes for university and family and children in that order.

I left my bike standing against the back wooden rail, no need to lock at Lou's, then took the back stairs two at a time up to the deck in my Lycras to mix with the black leather clad and heavily accessoried biker crowd. Gray beards, however, have much in common so no one up there so much as blinked an eye or gave me the once over.

Lou's is a really really friendly place with great beer prices ... $1.50 for a cold Yuengling ... how's that for terrific value? Add the relaxing view of the sea just meters away, pretty dang good bar food and blues on the juke box and one has it all right there.

Is anything about Lou's lacking? OK, one minor point ... I prefer pints of draft beer and a greater selection. The owners of Lou's live in my neighbourhood and someday I will ask them to reconsider their policy of bottle beer only. Unfortunately, the building housing Lou's Blues started life as a Chinese restaurant (The Lucky Lady, if memory serves and it usually does not these days) I doubt whether the cost of installing a draft beer distribution system across two stories can be easily justified.

One final comment. I do not know how to assign star ratings to a biker-oriented jazz and blues bar so I gave Lou's 5 stars just because I liked the place a lot and it's a 10 minute walk from where I live. So there.

It is what it is.  And I love it.  What a mix of humanity on the dance floor.  Just enough food available to coat your stomach.  Great music, fun people.  Can't wait to return to the "scene" (seen).
