Perfectly decent spot if you want to fill up on some just-OK Chinese buffet. Â I went on Sunday, when the all-you-can-eat buffet is $8.25 all day.
There were five eight-foot buffets, including an American salad buffet, dessert buffet, and mostly traditional American foods buffet. Â One of the two remaining buffets was half soups, so that really didn't leave a whole lot of space for Chinese main dishes.
Those Chinese dishes there were, were fine, and everything was reasonably freshly cooked, not standing out and overheated. Â But not one dish was especially delicious (nor bad), and there were a few misses. Â My biggest complaint is, not only was there not a selection of vegetable dishes - there was not even one! Â Even the limited dishes that included vegetables were light on them. Â The best dish was the garlic chicken and broccoli, which was just fine. Â Other than that, the rice was yellow Spanish rice with hard-chewy peas. Â There was no sauce for the sweet-n-sour chicken. Â The wanton soup broth was oily and completely plain (no shredded greens or pork).
During the week, the lunch buffet is $5.85. Â I don't know if the selection is the same. Â But if it is, my rating would go up a star, for pretty good value for a variety of just-OK food.
Food 4 + ambiance 4 + value 5 + service 5 = overall 4.3 /10 (forgettable)
