I come to this place often with my friends all the way from Boston for trivia night on Tuesdays, and I look forward to it every week! The place is off the beaten path which is cool but seems to be very popular, it's packed every time we come. They have great specials every night of the week and Tuesday's are half off certain sushi plates, which is awesome since I love sushi. The best part about this place is that their menu is so comprehensive with all different kinds of foods and flavors, yet everything I have had here from the nachos to the sushi to a veggie sandwich has been amazing! High quality ingredients and great flavor, what else could you want, oh yeah, fantastic service! We usually have the same waiter but one time we came and had a different guy and he was just as friendly and attentive. The guy who runs trivia here too is great as well, most trivia people I've experienced are lame but this guy is funny and engaging, so props to him too! I absolutely love this place and if I had a car I would be here more often than once/week-ish with my friends!

One word describes the meal I had last night..."Wowza"!  I'm a foodie who is hard to please and this place blew me away.  Couldn't decide what to order and thanks to a very patient waitress, settled on the salmon entree.  It was cooked to perfection and the extra veg (substitute for potato side) was de-lish!  Friends ordered the roasted chicken entree and the hamburger and also loved their meals.  Looking forward to going back...real soon!

Packed but no wait and the host hooked us up with a seat right in front of a tv for the Bruins playoff game. It was unfortunately under a vent, but nothing a sweater couldn't fix.

They have a good beer and drink selection. - my fiancé went for the Allagash draft and I had the sangria special and a pomegranate wheat beer, delish. We had the Philadelphia roll to start, yum. For dinner I had the CBLTA and my fiancé had the pulled pork - both were super messy but that obv means they were good and they were served with handcut fries.

Our waiter was great and the atmosphere was cool and casual. Only bummer is that we live a half hour away! Some of the entree prices are also a little bit more than your average restaurant, but the quality is there.

Side note: the table next to us got the fried clam special. It was MASSIVE with a cool presentation - we hope it stays on the menu to try it next time!

Stopped in for LUNCH with my parents, myself, and my two children. The atmosphere was good. Parking ample. They were quite accommodating of people with young children in that they provided boosters and wiki sticks for the kids to play with, and the waitress was very nice. That's where my positive reviews end.

My father ordered a burger and fries and was happy enough with them, though the prices for even a burger at lunch were really high.

My mother ordered a burger and specified no peppers. They brought it to her with pepper sauce all over it. She had to wait for them to make another (so her meal came when we were all finished) and they didn't provide any discount on her meal.

Kid's meal prices are really high - $9 for a burger, fries and Sundae but what was most offputting is that my son is allergic to milk so we ordered JUST a kids' burger pattie with a side of veggies - no condiments on it, no fries, no bun, no sundae and they charged $11 bucks for it. That's crazy. $11 for a small cup of veggies and a kid's size plain patty is enough for us to never go back.

I had a chicken tortilla salad. It was okay, the avocado was really fresh, but otherwise it was nothing special to write home about. I wanted to love Maggie's but $60 for a sub par lunch of sandwiches, a blank patty, and a salad (no drinks) is more than enough incentive not to ever go back.

I brought my mother, at her request, for Mother's Day. The food was decent but the meals are just a little different than most.  We ended up having to sit at the bar, our fault really, something i'd generally rather not do with my mother but it worked out nice because the bar tender was excellent and made my mom feel very special. She was sure to get everything we needed and offered to change meals or had suggestions for alternatives. She really knew the menu and was quick with a little joke or pleasantry even on a very busy Mother's Day. She was a very nice person and a true professional named Kiesla ( sorry, I hope the spelling is right here). I'm not sure I would consider going back if it were not for her help and the fact that she was so good to my mother.

Overall a decent experience. My suggestion, go and enjoy the bar ( maybe without mom)  and ask for Kiesla. The burgers are good and there are TV 's a plenty. I ordered the nachos with pulled pork and the calamari,( ask for tartar sauce wasn't a huge fan of the sauce offered with the calamari because it was not my tupical sort of flavor) at her suggestion, and both were excellent. At the end of the meal there was a lot left and she made sure it was all packaged up nicely for my mother to take with her. The place was busy. The food was OK but this bartender really got it. She made the experience very pleasurable for my mother on her day and I'd go back for that very reason.

    Thanks

Finally made it to Maggie's Farm, and it was a pretty good meal.

Our server was Kevin. Nice guy, good server, enthusiastic, and seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about the menu. Answered any questions we had, and found out the answer if he didn't know it.

    Food:
For starters we got the calamari.... as a starter, and it was good. I mean, it's calamari, its fried and tastes the same pretty much everywhere. The tomato sauce on the side was pretty good, and so was the garlic aoli, but if you don't like hot watch out of the green peppers, they can sneak up on you disguised as regular fried calamari.

I got the 1lb burger, and it was delicious. Cooked how I ordered it (medium rare), and the fries were crispy, hand cut, and seemed to be made in house just the way I like it.

My girlfriend got the Crab BLTA (crab being crab cake). I thought everything about it was great.....except neither of us could really taste the crab. It was kinda small, and we just couldn't taste it, kinda bland for a crab cake. I probably wouldn't get that again.

My mother got the sirloin steak which I took a small bite of. I thought it was delicious, and she seemed to like it. It's a good piece of meat if you want a steak.

We skipped dessert, so no review there. I'll definitely be going back, there are a few more things on the menu I'm interested in trying.

Can't say enough about this place!  From the staff that takes your name to the servers and bartenders, this place is fantastic!!
We were a little confused at the menu at first since it had mostly American food and then some random sushi, but once you're there you will get it.  We order a spicy tuna roll and the mussels for an appetizer and one was better than the next.  My husband ordered the steak tips and LOVED them and I had the sirloin which was also great.  There were definitely some tougher pieces in my steak but otherwise it was delicious. Our server was attentive, friendly and responsive which is my biggest pet peeve, but nothing to worry about here.  Definitely will be back to this place and can't wait to try it again!

If you're looking for a bustling atmosphere with good drinks and enormous/delicious burgers this is the spot. Had a really good experience with a group of 5; waitress was friendly and attentive despite how clearly busy she was!

Food was super filling and satisfying.

Fairly diverse menu (everything from huge burgers to sushi plates)

A wonderful dining experience! We were seated almost right away at 8:00 on Valentines Day. We ordered two of the specials. The food and drinks were great, and everything was served promptly and was even more yummy than we thought it would be! Although we were picky about some things, our waitress, Stella, was extremely accommodating and anticipated our every need. Yes, it was expensive, but not out of line for special occasions. Can't wait to come back for another experience!

Great ambiance, awesome food, solid service, and friendly staff.  Has a rustic, homey, lodge-like feel to it.  One of the best restaurants in the area, hands down.

I like this place! Waitress was very friendly, prompt and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was fun.  We sat at a high top community table and had an interesting conversation with another couple involving yoga, the Beatles, and lion's breath.  I ordered the salmon and found it to be quite tasty and my husband had the steak tips.  The salmon was delicious and according to my husband, the steak tips weren't too bad.  We left before the music started, unfortunately.  If we lived a little closer I could see becoming a regular.

Went to Maggie's Farm on the Thursday night following Christamas.  We've been really wanting to try it out.  As others have said, the parking is tough.  I always take a full restaurant as a good sign...not so much here, it's just a small place. The cougars and prowlers dominated the barstools. My husband stood for a good 15 mins at the bar and not one of the three bar tenders ever made eye contact, aren't they there to serve the customer?  If you weren't seated at the bar directly, they weren't serving you  We were not able to order a drink and we were only part a few small groups standing as we waited for our table.

We were initially offered a communal table which we turned down, glad we did. Once seated we had a five star waitress, Stella. She made up for the shortcomings elsewhere and the service was great at our table. Food was average at best....we ordered salads, they were fine. Tomato bisque soup tasted like tomato sauce and was thick enough to pass as it too. Sushi - I know, I know, don't order sushi any place but in a genuine sushi place, but I couldnt resist...I should have, it was terrible and I'm certain it was not fresh. Very salty and dry. Burger was ordered medium, came out well done.

I think they just had too much going on on the menu for anything to be great  Overall, I will not be going back any time soon, nor will I recommend it.  Owner REALLY needs to teach these people some customer service and clean up the menu, the guy making the burger doesn't make good sushi...he doesn't make a good burger either.

Not a fan...have tried this place several times, and each time I walk away disappointed.

The atmosphere is fantastic.  They did a top notch job on the renovations and I enjoy sitting at the bar.  The concept is a good one, but I think they fail in execution, and  I would not return here for a meal.  Perhaps I'm just not "high brow" enough for this place, but they seem to try to make all their dishes over the top by adding seasonings and sauces when they could be good without the "fancy" touches.

They had a sushi bar, but you couldn't get traditional sushi.  Every offering on the menu had some sauce or topping that made it extra spicy, which is not my preference.  They have since gotten rid of the sushi bar, but I believe you can still order sushi from the menu.  But from what we had, I would not recommend sushi anyway.  I like traditional sushi, and that wasn't available.  I've tried the sirloin steak twice, and both times it was very tough.  Their menu seems to have expanded since I last was there (about 4 months ago), but in reading it I still have the same reaction.  Almost every dish has something spicy on it or in it, and for their location their prices are quite high.  Several of the bartenders are friendly, but I don't find that the rest of the staff is very friendly.  I am not planning on returning.

Maggie's is another example of a fantastic recipe for a restaurant.. it feels new, has great food and a great bar. Unfortunately, Maggies has one *huge* issue. Popularity. My only complaints here are the wait, the parking, and the busy bar - and these are all actually great signs for a newer restaurant.

Once you get through those hurdles, service has been quite good, atmosphere is great, albeit a little loud, and the food has yet to disappoint. The menu is a little of this, little of that - no question they are going with a "something for everyone" theme. And it works. The beers on tap rotate, and there are always a couple winners. Not that typical "sam/stella/harpoon" garbage you always see.

I won't lie, parking is awful. On a weekend evening, you can't park. You can however, go to the side street nearby which does not appear to have any restrictions.

Atmosphere and interior were really cool, service was above average.  But the food was overpriced and mediocre at best.  There were 8 of us and 4 thought it was good and the other 4 thought it was about the quality of an Outback Steakhouse. While there is nothing wrong places such as the Outback, Maggies farm is not priced that way.  So we absolutely expected more from this restaurant.  First and last time going for me.

I have been to Maggie's farm twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch.  Both times the food has been amazing.

The first time I got the meatloaf and it was perfect, melted in my mouth.
For lunch I got the Crab BLT and it was excellent as well.

It's a great place and the atmosphere is great too, I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

What can I say? I went there for lunch with some coworkers and was surprised to see that they had no lunch menu. I was the same as dinner and so were the prices. There should be cheaper options for people lunching out.

Also, there was only one person working...that's right, ONE person. I understand it wasn't his fault for the short staff, but they should have called someone in. The
service took forever, which is something you don't have on your lunch break.

I've been there a few times, and it's sad because their food is really quite good, but the wait is very unbearable.

Went on a Saturday night for the first time about 3 weeks ago. We were seated at a communal table with another group of 5. There was plenty of space and there was no issue sitting there, the atmosphere/decor was nice.

Our waiter was very nice, although things seemed to move a little slowly from ordering to getting the check, but not that bad and I think Mathew, our waiter, had his hands full.

We had 2 Apps, nachos and calamari, the nachos were very good the calamari was not, very bland. I would not order that again.  I got a cup of chlli. The chilli was very good from a taste standpoint, but came out of the kitchen only lukewarm. I sent it back and about ten minutes later it came out slightly warmer. Too bad, the taste was great.
Our meals were ok, but nobody was raving about anything they had. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was hot, but tasted bland and dry. I asked for a side of BBQ sauce and that helped out.

We will give it another try, but it was not that great this first time.  I'll give it a high 2 stars.

Someone asked me about it and I gave them the "looks good, but nothing to write home about that first visit"

Similar to many of the other Serenitee Restaurant Group offerings (Hale Street, Latitude 43º, Alchemy) -Maggie's Farm is local pub grub with the odd mix of sushi thrown in. Decent beer selection and bar fare is better than average.

Food was great, service was outstanding. Went there last night with another couple and we were seated in the dining room with no wait. Chelsea was our server and she was friendly and funny and very attentive, even with a full room. Started with sushi which was quite good. All of our entrees seemed like good value for the price. We liked the "road house" vibe though the sound level was a bit high. I will go there again.

I'm really disappointed with you, Maggie. I waited months to try you out having seen your progress each day as I drove down Rte 114. I imagined what deliciousness waited for me tucked away in a part of Middleton that doesn't have many restaurants.

At long last on Saturday we decided to try you for lunch and now I wish I hadn't. You were so much better in my imagination.

Upon walking in I was very confused - are you a pub? Why do you have a sushi bar? If I want sushi in the North Shore I'll go to Blue Fin which is only a couple of miles from your establishment. So.. please, make up your mind as to what kind of food you serve and do that one thing really well.

I do admire your decor of wood walls with a perfectly complimentary color in places. Though I was a little scared of the mural with Bill Murray who kept pointing his finger at me as I sat there. Didn't anyone teach Bill that that's not polite?

Now on to the important stuff - the food!  This really ticked me off. We ordered a hamburger and a caprese salad with steak. I got some questions for you Maggie and I want answers!

    1. ) Why did that food take you 40 minutes, Maggie?
    2. ) Why did that very loud table next to us who came in after us get their food first?
    3. ) Why was my order messed up after taking so long? (I think because that other table got my burger...)
    4. ) Why did the waitress take my burger back when I asked where one of the toppings was? I was hungreeeeeeeee.. just bring me the damn topping separately.
    5. ) Why did my fries get cold so quickly?

Damnit Maggie, I wanted to like you. Your quality of food doesn't live up to your prices. And your customer service certainly doesn't. The other reviewers on here have hit the nail on the head - your customers seem to be invisible to you (unless you're loud?). That's no way to run an establishment!

I didn't even get an apology for the long wait, much attention in that 40 minutes, or  an offer of maybe some bread to tide us over.

Sorry, Maggie, but my fantasy with you is over and we won't return. Me and your other invisible customers will go somewhere we actually get service.

went to maggies on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch..We sat at the bar and the bartender Les was awesome..We had the crab BLT and the Goat cheese salad with grilled shrimp.  Both were really good.  Les made some great drinks !  In my opinion you are better off sitting at the bar, you get better service.  Seems to be that most people who review Maggies complain about the service.  If you can get a seat at the bar you are better off.

FANTASTIC all around.  The menu had too many good options to choose from so our waitress helped us order, and did a fabulous job.  Everything was delicious, the free bread, tots appetizer, sushi, and of course the margaritas.

Lovely environment, we were helped by a few different people between our food being brought out and table being cleared.  I can't wait to make it there for their Sunday brunch!!!!!

My wife and I decided to try Maggie's again. Last time there was no air conditioning and it was unbearable. Tonight we were invisible. I say it over and over and over ... get to your guests table immediately and welcome them AND get their drink order. People will sit and relax if they know they are acknowledged and have a drink. If I need to sit for 15+ minutes with no acknowledgment I begin to get mad and doubt the restaurants management.
Why did it take 15 minutes for drinks
Another 20 minutes for raw oysters
    40 minutes for food

If you go here demand attention. Order and remind them that you are there.

I'm a fan of North Shore Restaurant Group, so I really wanted to like Maggie's...

The  space has a weird flow so it's not really clear where the bar and dining rooms diverge.

We opted to sit in the quieter dining area. It was small and enclosed but relatively quiet for our meal.

Our server seemed totally overwhelmed - I saw him bussing a table while we were waiting to order. We weren't in any real hurry, but I'm of the mind that tables with people should rank over empty tables...

When we finally did order, I had to ask for bread for the table. Given that we'd already been at the table for 10-15 minutes, I would think bread service should be automatic.

The lights in the room kept flickering on and off, No explanation was given or apology offered. It was quite unsettling to have bright flouresence one moment and dark shadows another...

As for our meals - my partner ordered Fish and Chips and was happy with the quality and quantity. The presentation was also very nice.  i ordered the stuffed eggplant entree, being a vegetarian. I had asked our server how it was prepared but unfortunately, he had to go check with the kitchen instead of knowing the item from experience. The eggplant was unpeeled, chewy and basically inedible. Although the garlic and artichoke in the tomato sauce were nice, I didn't anticipate eating what boiled down to spaghetti.  Especially not for $12.

All in all, it wasn't an experience worth the  price we paid,

I clearly was wearing my invisible suit tonight. Myself and 3 friends decided to try this place, it looked very cute. 20-30 minute wait for a table no big deal. Standing at the bar with no one acknowledging that we existed BIG DEAL.
Getting bumped ( literally)  out of the way when 2 seats opened up at the bar by a huge guy who all ready had a seat and a spot at the bar.
Or getting cut off while attempting to order after waiting 20 minutes
Or maybe getting seated finally after 40 minutes at a table with another party we didn't know, at some weird makeshift 10 top by the kitchen door. I can't decide what was the most annoying situation at Maggie's farm. Oh if anyone cares about the food EH it was a weird menu, raw bar, pizza & pub food. I had French fries which were good.
I guess the most annoying part of the evening at Maggie's farm is that me and my group were defiantly on the younger side of the crowd and it was obvious to me now that you don't outgrow D-bag behavior.
Maggie's farm should go out to pasture!

My wife and I rarely get a night alone to go out, and tonight we chose Maggies Farm. It is near by and we thought it would be a nice place to try. We had planned on staying a couple hours and enjoying various things on the menu, but left after one drink.

Right off the bat we felt as if our money was not good and we were not welcome at the establishment.

-My drink (10 bucks) was literally half soda water and not even good.
-The bar tender passed by and eyed my empty glass THREE TIMES.
Not even in the case of an overcrowded bar would this have been okay, but only half the bar was seated.
-Not ONCE was I asked if I wanted another drink.

After 45 minutes of waiting (which was more than enough time) we figured we would just get the check and leave. On top of this we waited a half hour for a table, but opted for the bar as no tables were available.

I have never experienced such horrible service in my entire life. EVER.

My favorite new place - magic tricks at the bar (Jay is good), tender steak tips cooked perfectly in a Pepsi BBQ sauce, and a delicious chicken dish with yummy pan sauce. I was sad that my meal was ending. Definitely coming back to try the fish and chips. Do yourself a favor and at least give it a go! Only knock would be slower than average bar service, but then again its hard to serve drinks and do magic tricks at the same time!
    ...still licking my lips.

Friend ordered coleslaw with burger instead of fries. Bill came with $2.00 up charge for any change.

Ordered a martini. Changed 1 ingredient . Once again total cost received a $2.00 up charge for any change. Martini was $28.00 for two small martinis.

Food poorly prepared. Costs unreasonable. No accommodation offered in spite of expressed disappointment.

Really happy that Maggie's Farm landed in Middleton.  Been here now for brunch, dinner, and had take-out once.  Every time the food has been delicious.

Seven of us went there for dinner tonight and everyone had accolades for their meals.  I had the meatloaf, which was bacon-wrapped and covered with a mushroom jus, and served over a cheddar mashed with broccolini.  Sometimes cheesy potatoes gross me out if they get over the top cheesy, but I thought the cheddar was just enough to kick it up a notch.  My friends gave top-notch reviews to the Pan Roasted Cod and the Steak Tips as well as the 1-lb burgers.  Everyone said that they would definitely order their meal again.  I've also had the fish & chips separately for take-out, which was a really fresh and the batter was very light.  Each time were no leftovers on my plate even though I was belt-popping full.  A couple of my ladies even completely cleared their plates.

The Crazy Nachos with the BBQ pulled pork are fantastic.  We destroyed that in 5 minutes.  Was surprised to see how quickly it disappeared.  Loved the jalapeños!

Service was a little slow but the place was packed.

    Highly recommend.
