Maggie's Idle Hour

We meet up with our friends every now and then at Maggies, it is always clean, the remodeling was done great.  they have great shows, bands/DJ's/comedians/ juke box/video's playing on the TV's.  they now serve food and it is a dgood portioned size, very good.  I am glad we now have a new place to eat in MM.  Dave and Maggie are great people.

Maggie's Idle Hour provided the most fun I've had going out in a long time. I loved the setup of the bar. When you walk in and immediately see one, long bar with bar tables along the other wall. As you walk to the back, you can go into another room with another bar with tables and a stage. There is even a beer garden out back.

If you're into a good hangout bar with cheap drinks, darts and metal music, this is the place to be. Everyone in the bar seemed genuinely happy to be out-no one looking for a fight or popping a collar.

And I have to mention the bathrooms. Normally, I say make sure to go to the bathroom before you get to a bar, but I'm pretty sure Maggie's toilet was cleaner than my home one--and it stayed that way all night--another point for the type of clientele at this bar!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Even though it was very busy, I never felt like I had to wait for a drink.

So, if you're ever in the Oregon, IL/White Pines State Park area, check this place out.

If I lived closer, this would be my bar every weekend.
