Main Street Cafe

My son, a friend and I went to eat at Main Street Cafe last week and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and atmosphere. Our orders were taken and the food was at the table within 15 minutes. We had ordered a fairly wide assortment of items and were surprised that they were able to serve so fast. The homemade vegetable soup was really good and my tuna salad sandwich on toast was as good as I've ever had. When in Greenboro, you would NOT be making a mistake by stopping in and having these fine folk make you a meal! I certainly will!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick snack while visiting Greensboro on a Sunday drive. First, I must say that this town is not worth the trip, even if you are already in the area. There are multiple dilapitated, empty, depressing buildings downtown. This is not a lovely, historic town. It's a very sad depiction of a poor economy, I guess. Any way, back to the restaurant...it's a very small diner/cafe where you place your order at the register and they bring you your food to your table. We simply ordered french fries. It took 15 minutes for our order. We expected hot, crispy fries. Presumably, they were freshly made. Wrong! They tasted like days old fries that were microwaved. They were certainly not freshly made. Skip this place. AWFUL!
