We saw their billboard on the highway and gave it a try. A real treat and a surprise along a small main street of a very small town, among several closed and abandoned buildings. Â Beautiful decor, affordable prices and delicious food. Â I had the daily special which was a turkey Philly cheese steak. A perfect blend of turkey, onions, green peppers, cheese and a touch of honey mustard. We also tried three of the sides: fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and corn nuggets. Â So good, especially the corn nuggets! Inside is like creamed corn, but in a gooier, sweeter paste. Â And the okra and green tomatoes were much lighter than previous times I've had them elsewhere. They say that locally they've become famous for their shrimp and grits. Â We'll have to try that next time. Â We stayed on an extra ten minutes or so chatting with the friendly staff. Â After one visit, we feel like family.
Review Source:Great service. Excellent food. Inexpensive prices. What else could you ask for???  Try the crab cakes!!! You will be impressed by the décor. While Main Street Eatery is located in a small town and has a typical "diner" look to it from the outside, the inside is very classy: cloth napkins, great flatware and high quality serving plates. The staff is very friendly and again, the food is outstanding.
