    After living in Stoughton for almost a year, my husband and I were excited to finally be able to stop at the Pour House.  Meh.  We got there at about 8:30 on a Saturday night after having dinner at a restaurant nearby.  It was empty.  It's been a while since we've been out so we thought maybe we were just part of the early crowd.  By the time we left at 10:30, there were 10 other people there.  We didn't try the food, but the drinks were good.  It seems like it's fighting with itself between being a bar and a restaurant, and not really succeeding at either.  We might give it another try, but we're not aching to go back.

    The Pour House may be one of the only places serving food late into the night, but thank goodness for it. Stopped in here after seeing a show at the Stoughton Opera House. Quickly ordered up some drinks and some food at 10:30 at night. The beer battered fries were fab and the burgers were decent. Appreciated the game cards on the table to keep you occupied and enjoyed the variety of live music. Cute setting, too.

    Yelp... please - give us half-star capability, please?!

    The Pour House is quite honestly a 2.5 star joint, primarily for the reasons that others have identified... while the beer selections are decent and the service is generally very good, the food is sub-par and is often wrong/different than what the menu describes.

    I took a motorcycle ride from Madison to Stoughton tonight, and decided to try the Pour House.  I arrived at around 7:30, and was shocked to find the place completely empty.  There was one older gentleman sitting at the bar, drinking some beer, and that was it.  The rest of the place was e-m-p-t-y empty.

    The bartender greeted me and invited me to sit anywhere I'd like.  I grabbed a table near the front window.  She shared with me the evening's specials - all taps were $2 and all craft bottles were $3.  A food menu was presented and I browsed it carefully before settling on a turkey wrap, no cheese.

    While waiting for the wrap, I sized-up the place, and really liked what I saw.  It was dark, with lots of brick and heavy wood accents.  I could see myself returning here with a DD and drinking-up a storm.

    The food arrived and the order was wrong on several fronts... it included cheese and it didn't come on the wrap that was described on the menu.

    The server asked how things were; I was busy picking off the cheese when she stopped by.  I said that I'd try it once I removed the cheese, and she said, "Sounds good!  I'll check back in a minute!"

    Arrrrrrrgh...

    After removing the cheese, I sampled the wrap and... well, it wasn't that great.  The turkey tasted cheap and watery.  The guac came from a packet, I'm sure.  The wrap was chalky.  On the plus side, the tomatoes and lettuce were exceptionally fresh.  But not worth $10.

    The iced tea was delish - super tasty.  Service remained attentive, but not "helpful."  A good waitress would've noticed the cheese issue.  But oh well.

    Pour House = MEH

    Food = 1.75 stars
    Value = 2 stars
    Service = 2 stars (great speed/availability - not real keen/observant)
    MISC = 3.5 stars (great atmosphere and good beer selection)

    Next time I'm in town I'll skip the food and enjoy the brews.  In an ideal world, the Pour House would pay attention to these reviews and correct their food wrongs...
