I've read many reviews of this place, and how people were comparing it to LaRocca's just down the road. Â Sorry folks, but this place can't hold a candle to LaRocca. Â The place was kind of old and run down and there were way too many little monsters running around screaming their heads off. Â That wouldn't fly at LaRocca's. Â
My dinner was just okay...cheese tortellini, which really isn't hard to screw up. Â I was surprised to see absolutely no chicken on their menu. Â Everything was either cheese, or for an additional 1.75, you could get a couple of meatballs. Â No chicken alfredo, parmigiana, marsala, or other very simple chicken dishes. Â Very odd. Â
My wife ordered a small, thick crust pizza, and again, it was just okay. Â The cheese was uninspiring and the crust was dry and doughy. Â Seriously, to even attempt to put this on the same level of LaRocca is a joke. Â
Our waitress was okay, but did not return to check to see how we were enjoying our meal. Â We ran out of beverages, and she did not return to ask if we needed any more. Â We actually had to flag down the other waitress for refills. Â Our waitress was on the other side of the store, with her back to us, and too busy wrapping silverware. Â I know that's an important duty, but the customer should always come first. Â And again, with all the snot-nosed brats yelping and screaming at a seemingly constant rate, she probably wouldn't have even heard us call for her.
So, we're one and done with this place. Â You want good pizza and Italian dishes in a quiet and comfortable place, head to LaRocca just down the road. Â Your ears and tummy will thank you.
