Unfriendly. Ignored for ten minutes before leaving and going to another one of the many other choices nearby.

Horrible service, disgusting food. We waited 30 minutes before we had someone take our drink orders. We waited another ten minutes and were just about to leave when we saw him coming with the WRONG drinks. We said it was okay and ordered (we didn't get a menu until he came and took our drink order so we relied on our iPhones and the extra ten minutes it took to bring the drinks side note: I ordered water). I ordered a N'awlins omelet, the greasiest thing I have ever eaten. We didn't eat all of our omelet and we weren't offered any discount on crappy service. Worst place and experience at a restaurant ever. Will not go back and I don't recommend anyone else to waste the time and money. Try a neighboring place (I don't know if they will be good or not) just stay away from Marker 20.

Local "Sip n Puke" has some charm with live music and an outdoor venue, but no bueno on food or niceties.

I'm not sure how it's possible that I haven't reviewed Marker before now! The drinks are strong, the nachos are the best I've ever had in my life (literally), and there are a few big screens for football watching.

My husband has had the fish n chips and loves them, its a huge piece of fish and great chips. We've also had the burger, its a damn good burger, but i'd still recommend the nachos.

The service can be spotty, especially if you're sitting outside.

That said, if it's nice, you can't beat their deck for drinks and people watching. The tables outside are dirty and unstable, but it's not fine dining, so whatever.

Nicky and I are visiting M 20, for the first time.  For the historic district, there is ample seating area for lunch hours and average traffic days.  Lunch specials are listed daily.  We are having shrimp stew and "fish/chips" today.

I tried this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. Again, I was disappointed in the results.

There is nothing special about this place. It is a bar that also serves food. I had the seafood platter which was small and the scallops were bland. There was way too many french fries and they were all soggy. The coleslaw serving was small.

There were friendly people at the bar and if I was out to drink, I would say this place could be fun. But for a dinner destination, it was not worth the effort

This place was horrible for a restaurant. We started with the dirty rice Cajun balls and they were soggy. Uhmm the are supposed to be crispy. Strike one. Second strike was when the waitress did not return to clear the plates. This wouldn't have been a problem, but eating outside with the flies and gnats made it a swarm around the plates. Final straw was the sorry excuse of a po-boy that came out. Having spent many years in the NO, this was an embarrassment to say the least. Soggy shrimp. Old fries. And who knew...a hoggie roll. Bottom line...if you want a bar...you'll have a great time and once your drunk you may be able to tolerate the food.

Inadvertently found through the yelp app!  We actually found a place next door, Tap Room, which we were going to go for lunch.  We walked in and they didn't have any tables.  So we decided to go to Marker 20 instead which seemed like a good choice.  We sat out on their patio area.  I can imagine it's a real nice place to go on a summer night.  They were setting up for something which seemed to be happening later that night.

I had the grilled vegetable wrap and it was good.  They have an option for couscous & feta salad which is an awesome alternative to the fries.  My friend got the fries with her sandwich and I tried one and they were delicious.  Nicely seasoned.

They went a little above and beyond because they brought out hot fresh hush puppies from the kitchen saying they made too many for another order and gave them to us on the house.  It was my first hush puppy and I loved it!  I mean, I have nothing to compare them to so I don't know just how good they are in comparison to others, but I had two, and I don't eat much fried food!

This place is located right in Downtown Hampton near the Marina (great location!).  I stopped by before hitting the base to get some seafood and here are my findings:

The draft beer selection was decent, with a little bit of everything.

The caesar salad had way too much dressing.  every single leaf was swimming in sauce.  I added chicken to it making the salad's price $9, a little over the top.

The shrimp platter was really good.  I was served six broiled jumbo shrimp and they were well seasoned and juicy.  The fries had great flavor and the coleslaw was awesome.  The coleslaw was not heavy and went very well with the fries.  I wished they would have had oysters prepared differently, other than fried.

loud! crowded! maybe good for lunch but for a bar nothing to be found here except for the patio. I would try the taphouse for better beers/food or goodfellas for better local music acts. the secret here is that the acts they do have can be heard on the street without going inside to pay cover.

Great bar and grill with craft beeer on tap, interesting variations on traditional bar food (I especially like the the Crab Philly wrap) and friendly, prompt service.  Purely as a restaurant, maybe 3 stars, but the overall fun, friendly ambiance and craft beers more than make up for it.

Marker 20 is a part of the downtown Hampton restaurant/bar scene. The layout is divided into two sides, if you will: one side is narrow and indoors; the other, a large outside patio area. There are often bands playing here which is pretty cool during the summer. Smoking is permitted out here, of course, so this has become a haven for smokers, clearing out the inside portion of both smoke and patrons.

I've always come to Marker 20 later at night while there is live entertainment. This varies from being small three-piece bands to Open Mic Night. The Open Mics are fun and feature regular performers who many of the crowd knows. The bands are also similarly received, so it's frequently a cool, semi-sing-along experience that borders on being too loud quite a bit. It fits the overall ambiance of the place though, a mishmash of this and that in Hampton--young drinkers, older lawyers, crabbers, shipyard workers, local musicians... and it's always entertaining.

Marker 20 in downtown Hampton is really cool place perfectly suited to warm weather. There's a large outdoor patio area that feels awesome with a night time summer breeze. The bar area is long and cozy and the drinks are always strong. They frequently have bands or open mic nights, and that gets loud honestly, but overall it's a good time. The food is adequate, but the crowd and the ambiance make up for it by creating a nice vibe. The staff is pretty average here, no one went completely out of there way to give me great service, but the food comes out pretty quickly and they will get to you fast if you need a drink.  Bands are usually during the week to bring in a crowd and the weekends are pretty busy.

This place is located in downtown Hampton on the block with the other bars and restaurants.  It would be nice if this area were even larger, but it beats the chains on Mercury for food and suds.

The place has a deck that faces the street.  The place seems like it's pretty jumping in the summer. The plastic cup they served the beer in was a good indication.  It looks like they might even have a bar out on the patio.  I had the cheese dip and the blackened tuna salad and was pleasantly surprised.

I would return here.  It was the busiest of the places on the strip, which is a good sign.

My wife and I went to Marker 20 during Restaurant Week in downtown Hampton. They have great specials with all the local flavor and Marker 20 had been catching my eye for a while, lots of folks swear by it and it's right next to one of the places I frequent almost every week.

I had fish and chips along with some of the Clam Chowder, the chowder was amazing but the fish and chips were just alright. The fish was too fishy and the batter was not crisp like I expected. The desert I got was the in house special a sort of caramel creme and brownie slice. It was damn fine.

The beer selection was small but lots of local brews from our close neighbors at St George Brewery. Regular guiness and Bud with a selection of bottles. I was dissapointed with the size of the tap list, but I am a bit spoiled.

All in all it was a fair enough visit. The food was good, the beer was cold but the selection was small. Interior was a bit on the boring side, nothing to say really except it could use a good scrub.

If you are a beer lover, go two shops over to the Taphouse.
