Martini's

Martin's is now closed.

I didn't even realize there was an upstairs, but loved the atmosphere downstairs.  Live piano music and lots of people enjoying themselves.  I tried the a couple of the martinis among their two page list.  I have to admit they kind of sucked me in with the names of the martinis like Etta James, Aretha Franklin, etc...

Maybe it was sympathy that I was sipping alone and from out of town but my bill was way cheaper than what I thought it would be.

Martini's is a decent place to start your night.  One neat thing about Martini's is the contrast between the two levels.  Downstairs, you'll find people calmly sipping cocktails by live piano music (drinks are served in glassware), while upsairs it's tequila shots, blacklights and booty shaking (drinks are served in plasticware)--almost like two different bars altogether.  I paid $55 for a round of 11 soco shots (not a steal, but i've seen much worse).  The staff was pretty mediocre except for one really nice bartender at the upstairs bar.  Oh, and they had adult swim playing on a big projector.
