The beer was OK - they have some craft offerings - and the food was certainly tasty. It took 45 minutes to come out and the bar was near empty on a Monday night.....we weren't too bothered as we were waiting for a band to come on stage. The waitress was really nice and talkative
The AC / smoke removal system has a lot to be desired. It was really smoky and we came out stinking. Maybe I am just used to more forward thinking states that don't allow smoking inside.......
The wait and the smokiness was what moved it from a 5 to a 3
A bonafide creative core of Hot Springs and Arkansas, a super nice staff, a pioneering effort for fine beers, funky, smart and music-loving crowd, one of the best music venues in the state.
If in Hot Springs, GO. Now they have kick-ass food for dinner, or a much appreciated/ needed late night meal (until 1 AM most nights)....thoughtful bar and grill food with a Greek twist.
Awesome bar!
A group of 8 people that contains a mixture of boys and girls- all feeling really swell. The two girls were pushing each other making out and yelling. Then stepping out to talk baby talk to their children at home, then returning to there make-out sessions. - Needless to say that Maxine's has Live Entertainment. Â
Located in downtown Hot Springs Village. Boogie men and weirdos hang come out at night. Beware.
Great place. Lots of great live music. Usually karaoke once a week. Wonderful staff and cold drinks. Some nights it'll be loud, live music, almost every weekend. During the week it depends on the night. May be open mike, may be karaoke. But give them a shot. Perfect night out while in Hot Springs!! Plus it's really hard to beat $1.50 draft PBR and $7 pitchers. (maybe $7.50)
Review Source:This place rules. Every time we're in Hot Springs, we spend a couple of late nights drinking and hanging with the bartenders and locals. Super friendly staff, great drinks and great ambiance. They love music there and get some decent acts coming through. A really special place. Check it out!
Review Source:If you're staying in downtown Hot Springs, this is the bar you want to find yourself catching music in. They have a bar side if you want to stand with your drink actually at the bar, and then they have a large sitting area where you you can listen to the current band perform. They also have a small upstairs sitting area with a few couches, however, the last time I was there it was roped off. I was told it was "VIP area for the band." Yeah right. The band sucked that night, btw. But anywho, it's a good spot to grab a drink, need I say more?
Review Source:Their TV's are lilliputian and you can smoke in the bar (a negative for me, a plus for the rest of civilization), but they usually have a drink special, and they treated everyone with the music festival really well.  They have plenty of space for large groups in the second room, and sometimes have live music.  There's also a ping pong  table for those who enjoy engaging in a tiny bit of physical activity when they drink.
