The buffet was amazing!! So many southern style options to choose from. Word to the wise: it's either you eat here or Subway and then ride another 20 miles or so before you find something else. We were on a cycling trip when we saw this place, and we are so glad we stopped in. The people working there were also super friendly!
Review Source:Just an average southern style buffet. Â The whole place needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned. Â Table tops are sticky, not from being dirty just that they were put in the restaurant back in 1960 and well after 50 years the surface of the table has just worn out.
Unless you can't find anything else open in town then I'd say keep driving on to the next town where you might find a better meal.
A quick update on this place, and I wish it could be a more kind update, but honestly it cannot. My most recent experience here was nowhere near as good as previous ones, mainly because the price for the buffet has increased to an astronomical $17 (yes, you read that right) for a country-style buffet and they didn't even have fried chicken that day! A lot of overly-fried seafood, yes, but a poor selection of sides and no chicken. And a country buffet without fried chicken is like a day without sunshine or a Disney parade without Mickey Mouse, or an Enterprise without Captain Picard  . . . you feelin' me here?
The waitstaff, as always was prompt and super-sweet. Most of the customers are senior citizens (I think they get a reduced price which may explain the hike for non-old folks, I don't know). The fried shrimp were alright and the cole-slaw was good but aside from that, not too impressive--especially not at these prices.
Another good buffet to visit after a day of cave diving. Â Has the usual suspects on the buffet. Â As with other buffets in the area, the dining room is festooned with hunting trophies. Â
The service is as expected and the prices are reasonable. Â Remember, it is "All You Can Eat" not "Eat All You Can"! You're heart will thank you later.
