McCormicks CLOSED long ago! Now called COUGARS. Not sure how new Cougars is doing. Drove by on a Thrusday evening at 9 pm and it was dead...no cars.
This Night Club should be removed from the list in Palm Desert, CA.

I don't guarentee a crowd, but you will most likely have a live DJ mixed with a live band... and a floor for dancing.  It's about as good as it gets out here for night life.

Arrived early for a Saturday night at McCormicks, it was 8:30pm. Was met at the bar by the owner, Ernie and we talked for a good while. He told me some of the history of the place and how he aquired it, introduced me to some of the staff and made my first Jack and Coke of the night.

The place started gettin busy shortly thereafter! Crowds started rolling in ready for a Saturday night in the desert...

If you like to dance, this is the place in Palm Desert. The live band covered lots of different songs from the 70s-90s... the drinks were flowing and there were more than enough eagar participants!

The barstaff kept me soaked in Jack and Cokes, never letting me go a moment without the booze. The drinks were a little pricey ($8) for J/D - I would imagine I was paying for the band as well.

Ernie made me feel like a regular and dropped a VIP card on me before I took off. Im thinking of tripping out there again this weekend to continue what I started.

The youngest crowd of any place I've been to in Palm Desert, but that's not saying a lot.  Ironically, went here because the bartender at the Nest recommended it as a great place to go after his midnight last call.

Cheap drinks, good vibe, decent music and hilarious cover band.  Would go again, if only because it's right across the street.

This place seemed a lot like the local dive bar by my house. They had a dj and a live band. There was a $10 cover charge at the door for everyone, but they only charged the guys in our group. The door guy was pretty cool. I thought it was kinda steep for a cover charge. The place is small, but clean. The patrons seemed like they were all locals in their 30s and 40s. The waitress was kinda rude, but I think she was just overworked. She was the only waitress serving and the place was packed.

The drinks were pretty weak, so we stuck to beer and straight shots. The band was decent. They were a cover band from a small town. They played all the staples: American Girl by Tom Petty, Sweet Home Alabama by Skynard, etc. The dj played some pretty decent dance music. But you know how after you've had a few drinks, every song is always "your favorite song!"

After our tab came, the waitress was a lot nicer to us when she got a huge tip and we didn't give her any problems after consuming over $450.00 worth of alcohol.

Figures... money always talks, no matter where you are.
