  On a road trip and the other scant choices in the area were either closed by the time we came through at 7pm or a sit-down place that wouldn't fit our need for a speedy meal.
  
  AMBIANCE:
  This is a location that corporate McDonald's has forgotten about. That's what I'm guessing. It's attached to a gas station and Circle K mini mart. The walls are painted maroon with salmon paint sponged over it. The only decor is a big picture of a wolf staring at you while you eat. The trash cans at the outer door are overflowing. Oozing leftovers. Your view is the gas pumps out front where the lights flicker like on the set of a urban legend horror flick.
  
  FOOD:
  It's McDonald's, and the food stayed relatively standard. I got a chicken club sandwich that comes in a small box so the bun and stuffings don't get squished. A huge improvement over wrapped sandwiches that get all soggy and misshapen. Also got a 6-piece chicken nugget Mighty Meal for my son. Nothing wrong with what we actually got, but rather with what we didn't get. I'll cover the troubling aspect next.
  
  SERVICE:
  They. don't. care. That was clear from the trash heaping up, over, and around the two trashcans out front. Then there's the mess on one table that inattentive staff saw and walked past the whole time we were there. But "whatever" as long as they get my order right. NOPE.
  
  Ordered the Mighty Meal for my son, which comes with apple slices, fries, chicken nuggets, a drink, and a toy. Opened the meal and noticed there were no apple slices, so I went back and asked to get them. "Sorry, we're out of apple slices." And then she's ready to walk away. "Um, is there anything else that could replace them, then?" She stalled, looked reluctant, then offered an apple pie. Whatever. I took it and walked back to the table. My son got thirsty and I realized they hadn't given me the milk I asked for with his meal. Again, "Sorry, we're all out of milk." And again, I had to say that I still wanted another drink in its place before they'd give me an apple juice. Seriously? No, really? You know you don't have 2 out of 4 parts of this meal and you just figured, "Meh, good enough" and handed it over without saying anything? Wrong.
