I never eat fast food, but I do crave it in two situations: right before a flight and on long road trips. Â I decided to drive from NJ to Quebec's Winter Carnival and thought it was a straight forward drive: I-87 all the way to Canada and then two highways after that. Â Little did I know that there is a 75 mile stretch on I-87 where there are no restaurants at rest stops or specific signs about which restaurants are on exits (only that teasing fork / knife / plate sign). Â We left at 5am, it was 10:24am, and all I wanted was a McGriddle with Sausage, Egg, and Cheese. Â Luckily, we came across the first specific sign on Exit 35 Peru, NY for a McDonald's (I thought it was a mirage) and we made it before they stopped serving breakfast.
