    POUR  ME  A  C O L D   O N E   PLEASE !

After frequenting here both now and when the famous Meister Brothers owned this establishment, I still enjoy coming here when in the area.
Is it the tastiest, greasiest, best bar food ?   YUPPER DOO   Heavy on the grease .

The Best thing I like about here, is that you can order a half order of an appetizer. I can get  2 different apps and call it a meal. :-P  That with a drink is a balanced meal, right?  And, don't forget, the price is right.

Even better are the FRIENDLY  staff. They seem sincere, and you can't fake that. Truly. They act like they are actually happy to be at work. Why not, it's a fun place to be. In the summer, it is no surprise to  see a wedding party stop in for shots. Couple that with a group of bikes pulling in, and instant party.

This Meister's is somewhat off the beaten path, but worth the drive. One fall I brought my mom out here from Roseville for the Octoberfest. She was 85, and we got to polka together under a tent like when I was a kid. Certainly a memorable experience. Thanks

Why does Scandia have Taco Days ?  Why don't they have Swedish Meatball Days?.

Went there Tuesday night to grab some burgers before we went to the cabin. We got all our food to go, I had a BBQ Bacon burger. In it was a large piece of beef cartilage or some kind of light brown hard piece of matter. This was the last straw for me. The last two times I have been there the bartender was slow and complained about having to work, Makes for an awkward atmosphere.

Beer here is dirt cheap and the people are usually colorful.  If you're in the mood for some ridiculously bad for you but very delicious German Nachos this is THE PLACE to go.  What are German Nachos you say?  Chips, sauerkraut, 1000 and cheese.  I told you they were bad for you.  They have Heggie's pizza here.  I don't have a clue what it is, but it has a cult following so it must be good.  Definitely a great dive in the middle of nowhere.

A small place and the service is always slow.  We haven't been back very often since they got rid of the Pigmeister on the menu.  The owners should put this back on the menu and we'd be back every weekend!  The German Nachos are delicious!  They also have great specialty salads and generous portions.  Great food!

Great Bar, great staff, above average bar food (the blue meister burger has tons of melted blue cheese and the chili is darn good, awesome fries).  They have fun summer events.  Its an all around nice place to go to.

I love going here because they have something for everyone.  Their kids menu is great and they have great traditional fare, like hamburgers, sandwiches, and steaks.  Meister's is a small restaurant,  but there is more room on the patio.

We ordered southwest nachos which where really good and of course enough to feed a crowd. I liked that they served the additional toppings on the side so that the chips (with real cheese baked on) didn't get soggy. The BBQ burger both looked and smelled great. I ordered a burger with blue cheese and buffalo sauce which I was not a fan of. It just didn't seem to go together well. The burger patties themselves were most likely from the freezer...

Atmosphere was a bar/restaurant and the service was friendly and had a good time joining in on the banter between locals and servers.

I love living in this part of MN. Except for one thing. We are lacking in decent restaurants.

But Meister's is one of the bright spots for Saturday morning breakfast. It's not an upscale place. Just a small town place. But the chef prepares everything fresh and I saw some people drinking what looked like really good Bloody Mary's. The omelets are huge. I couldn't even finish mine. Nor could I eat the bacon I ordered with it. And it's reasonably priced. How great is that?

Head over to Meister's some Saturday morning for a great breakfast!

Not sure p.a.'s review is for this Meister's. This one is in Scandia--the restaurant with the stream flowing underneath is the Brookside in Marine on St. Croix, about 5 miles south, closed for renovation at the time of this review.

Meister's Bar and Grill is a little better than what you would expect for a small town restaurant. Food is standard burger-sandwich fare, with some weekly specials. Ribs on Wednesday nights, Fish Fry on Fridays. Had the fish--it is all you can eat, but they bring out two skimpy fillets the size of fish sticks and you have to reorder to get more. Kinda keeps you in check.

Burgers are good, reliable, tasty, a little greasy but lacking any great charbroiled flavor. Fries were super fresh and potato-ey. Brisk but friendly, competent service. The place was hopping on a weeknight, we live about 10 miles away and ran into neighbors here.

Meister's is warm, friendly, and casual. Don't go with high expectations for standout food, but for something quick and tasty with a sweet, small-town feel, this is the place to go. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could: 3 for the food and 4 for the atmosphere.

This place is so much nicer than it used to be!  Great food, atmosphere, fun ...  All in a nice little out of the way town.

This place is cool- apparently a stream runs underneath the building. We had some decent burgers, made with real cheese, cooked to the correct temperature. Why 2 stars you ask? The service, people, the service! Our waiter rattled off specials, and ran off as soon as a person opened his mouth with a question. For example, "IsthereanythingelseI cangetyourightnow?ZZZZZZIIIIPPPP!!!!!! Cut to our group with mouths agape. Ok, I can be picky as I was a waitress for many years- but why do so many people work in restaurants who clearly suck at their jobs? Don't they understand why their cumulative tips add up to $7.00 a shift? Why?
