A great Tavern in Chisago City, MN.  You know, that town surrounded by gorgeous lakes, only a short distance from the North Country woods.  Just a 30 minute drive from of St. Paul, Roadhouse Tavern is a place where the locals hang and out of towners can come in for a cold beverage, a great Turkey Burger or Hot Dago sandwich and feel welcomed.  Non alcoholic drinks are generous in size and adult beverages are poured with love.  We were lucky enough to visit on a day when a bartender named Tanya was working.  She went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of us.  Tanya made my little lover lips and I feel like we were regulars.  My only suggestion would be to upgrade the TV to HD and widescreen, as it would be a great Chisago bar to hang out during Twins games.  Other than that, kudos to Tanya and the rest of the people who run the Roadhouse Tavern in Chisago.  Food was A+ Tavern style grub and the drinks were smooth, tasty, and plentiful!

The man and I stopped here after a day at the state park to grab a couple drinks.  I probably would only give it a 3 star but the large patio in the sun really pushes it up a star.  I'm a sucker for a patio, what can I say?  We chose this place because it looked like it would be nice enough to order a mojito judging the exterior.  Upon walking in, everyone at the bar turned to look at us, along with the 2 bartenders, and just gawked for what felt like eternity (but probably only 10 seconds) before going back to what they were doing.  I immediately changed my mind and decided to go with beer instead.  It made me laugh a little too, because the sign says "bikers welcome" and everyone at the bar could've been a biker.  That's cool, I just really wanted a mojito and didn't want to get laughed at by everyone in the establishment.  It was friday at 4:30 pm and ordered a pitcher of domestic for only $6.  I'm not sure if they take cards, but everyone at the bar had cash out so I just paid with cash, too.  The bartender was friendly enough and we took our beer and went outside.  It was a nice place to sit for an hour and enjoy our drinks before heading back to Minneapolis, but no one came outside to wait on us either.  No biggie, but the sign also states "fine food" but there are no waiters.  A joke amongst the regulars, perhaps?
