A great Tavern in Chisago City, MN. Â You know, that town surrounded by gorgeous lakes, only a short distance from the North Country woods. Â Just a 30 minute drive from of St. Paul, Roadhouse Tavern is a place where the locals hang and out of towners can come in for a cold beverage, a great Turkey Burger or Hot Dago sandwich and feel welcomed. Â Non alcoholic drinks are generous in size and adult beverages are poured with love. Â We were lucky enough to visit on a day when a bartender named Tanya was working. Â She went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of us. Â Tanya made my little lover lips and I feel like we were regulars. Â My only suggestion would be to upgrade the TV to HD and widescreen, as it would be a great Chisago bar to hang out during Twins games. Â Other than that, kudos to Tanya and the rest of the people who run the Roadhouse Tavern in Chisago. Â Food was A+ Tavern style grub and the drinks were smooth, tasty, and plentiful!
Review Source:The man and I stopped here after a day at the state park to grab a couple drinks. Â I probably would only give it a 3 star but the large patio in the sun really pushes it up a star. Â I'm a sucker for a patio, what can I say? Â We chose this place because it looked like it would be nice enough to order a mojito judging the exterior. Â Upon walking in, everyone at the bar turned to look at us, along with the 2 bartenders, and just gawked for what felt like eternity (but probably only 10 seconds) before going back to what they were doing. Â I immediately changed my mind and decided to go with beer instead. Â It made me laugh a little too, because the sign says "bikers welcome" and everyone at the bar could've been a biker. Â That's cool, I just really wanted a mojito and didn't want to get laughed at by everyone in the establishment. Â It was friday at 4:30 pm and ordered a pitcher of domestic for only $6. Â I'm not sure if they take cards, but everyone at the bar had cash out so I just paid with cash, too. Â The bartender was friendly enough and we took our beer and went outside. Â It was a nice place to sit for an hour and enjoy our drinks before heading back to Minneapolis, but no one came outside to wait on us either. Â No biggie, but the sign also states "fine food" but there are no waiters. Â A joke amongst the regulars, perhaps?
