The city of Dunn has limited choices, which is surprising based on its proximity to I-95. Â Despite a lack of obvious options, Dunn has some decent finds if you just look. Â Mi Casita is such a place. Â
Atmosphere - Large (I swear this place could hold 400 to 500 people), Chilly (bring a coat during the winter months...the cool temperature is probably due to the spaciousness of the place) festive, large (I had to mention it twice just to bring it home).
Food - Typical Mexican fare that is better than some. Â While here for lunch, I ordered the Taco de Pollo. Â It consisted of three chicken tacos, on soft corn tortillas, w/ cilantro, red onions, and lime. Â This is how tacos should be prepared. Â While what on the surface seems like small order this meal was far from skimpy. Â These were hearty tacos! Â The provided soft corn tortillas held the mounds of well seasoned chicken perfectly. Â With my dish I was given two huge limes that added some nice acidity to the flavors of the chicken. Â The diced red onion and freshly minced cilantro help to balance out everything else...perfection.
Service - Prompt and dutiful
Overall - Come with an appetite when visiting Mi Casita as you will definitely leave full and satisfied.
