Sauces are not of my liking. I eat a lot of real Mexican and love real tex mex. this was neither. Quality of ingredients seemed to be off. Cute little place out front of my subdivision so super close but won't go back. There are much better choices. Salsa is meh. Portions are on smaller side. Chicken dry. Just nothing really said WOW...  More blah. This place has the potential. Step it up and I might be tempted.

I went here on the recomendation of a friend who knows that I like non-chain restaurants.
This place was easy to find and easy to get into, even with the current construction on 407.
I ordered a Margarita (on the rocks with salt), and checked out the menu.  The sauce they brought out wasn't burning hot, but had a nice bite to it, and good flavor.  Nice to get one that was more than just tomato sauce with a little bit of onion.
My margarita was my best surprise  here.  I have been a long time margarita lover, and have looked for great ones.   This one was definitily in the top of the list for quality and taste.  And, it had a good punch to it.  The fun part was that I watched the bartender mixing it up.  Nice to find a place that didn't just pour out of their daily mix bottle.
I have had a lot of Tex-Mex over the years.  I admit that I have gotten a bit tired of it and always looking for a bit more.
My selection had a choice of any 3 items.  I had the beef enchilada, soft beef taco, and pork tamale.  This came with rice and refried beans.
The quality of this was all very good.  The rice was perfectly cooked, and the refried beans had a nice moistness to them.
The soft taco surprised me for a second as it was only the shell and meat.  Then I realized that all of the lettuce, tomato and cheese was on the side so you can pick what you want.  I wanted it all.
The pork tamale tasted homemade.  Standard mild chili sauce over the enchilada.
The meal was good, and I ate it all.  I will go back and check out more of their menu.
but no matter what, I will get more of their margaritas.
Nice outside patio area on the west side of the building overrlooking a pond with a fountain.

I have to admit, that I only gave the 3 stars because of the standard tex-mex offerings.  I would like to see more options, but what they served was all good quality, and I was not dissapointed.  Prices were reasonable, and yea.  I will go back again.

We had lunch today and I  ordered the poblano chicken.  The chicken was tough and dry.  It was obvious that it had been cooked a day or more earlier.  The sauce was way too much and honestly I won't be back.  It was just "ok", not worth another try.

Brisket Tacos are the best. Even the rice and beans were delish! Everything hot, tasty and came out in a hurry. Love having this place so close. Don't miss the margaritas.

We've been to this local tex-mex place several times as it's close to the neighborhood.  It's good dependable food - nothing too great, but not bad and fairly priced.  This place is on par with another local similar restaurant, Cristina's, and it's kid friendly too.  I haven't had one yet, but my wife says the ritas are pretty good also.  This isn't a "special occasion" place but if you're looking for a tex-mex fix and don't want to travel far, it's spot on.

Mi Sueno is a pretty decent Mexican food restaurant located in a zone that is devoid of many culinary options. The service is friendly, but not fast.  The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Food was good but nothing mind blowing. I did not care for the chips AT ALL (tastes like stale store bought tortilla chips) but I did enjoy the salsa.

The tableside guacamole is excellent.  The margaritas are tasty.  But my biggest complaint overall has to be with the service.  On one recent visit, I ordered a bowl of Tortilla soup.  First off, it was a TINY bowl. But, it came out COLD.  I mean, it was not even hot enough to melt the cheese in the bowl.  Then, on another recent visit I was with a large group (9 people).  The restaurant had the TV on so loud we could barely hear each other talk.  We all ordered food at the same time, yet for some reason the wait staff thought it was a good idea to serve half the table their meal, and then about 15 minutes later bring out a couple more dishes, and then finally after about 20 minutes bring out the last round of food.  Those who were served first sat around trying to be polite and wait for the others to be served, and thus our food was cold.  To me, this is a HUGE fail.  Before these two recent visits with bad service, I had this place rated as a 3, but after that I'm moving it down to a solid 2 star.

Convenient for us Lantana residents. Casual, friendly atmosphere. Good food and reasonable prices. Only been 2x since moving here a couple months back but foresee coming here many more times. Ask for the hot salsa if you're a chili head.

Mi Sueno is a good Mexican place for what is. Its located in a suburban shopping in the restaurant dead zone between Denton, Argyle, and Flower Mound. I've been here a few times now. Its never very busy. I liked the brisket tacos. I'd say this is like a less fancy, family owned Cantina Laredo. I go here because its a convenient location to meet people that live in the north side of Flower Mound. Cocktails are good so if you want to pop in for a margarita and taco plate, I don't feel like you'll be sad that you did.

When Mi Sueno first opened they had very reasonable prices for an average meal - nothing spectacular. Now that they've been around for a while, they nickle and dime you on EVERYTHING. The owners claim that they are competitive with local establishments in the area... However,  I can't recall spending $55 (before tip) at Christina's (located down the road, and better food) for fajitas for two, and two kid's meals. It must have been the additional $2.15 they charge for each kid's drink, or maybe the $1.00 additional charge for corn tortillas for the fajitas, or maybe it was also the $1.25/each to sub Charo beans for re-fried. We will not be going back to this place based on principle.

Our family loves going to Mi Sueno.  We only live in Lantana so it's not a far trip for some good Mexican food.  Queso is excellent, along with the guacamole dip.  Typically the wife and I split a plate of fajitas and that's more than sufficient for us.

I came in saturday night and got a cup of tortilla soup and queso to go, the queso was like the canned cheese on the mexican food aisle but maybe because when I got home it was cold. The soup was awesome...salsa-- WORLD'S best!! So my first visit I met the owner and this visit I met her husband, very nice people he made an effort to get to know me and it was 9pm and they closed at 10, we chatted until then I told him they needed to get a phone number online for people.

I came back 2 days later and got $6.49 burrito lunch special 1 beef with queso en fuego sauce and 1 ckn with chili con queso sauce rice and beans were cooked perfect no complaints and of course I love their margaritas!!! I need to see if they have a happy hour ever!
