Incredible food! It's not supposed to be authentic Mexican food...it's Tex-Mex which I like more than bland authentic Mexican food...and I couldn't care less what décor is on the walls. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant enough, the service was great, and the food was the best I've had in quite a while. We dine out in restaurants all over Texas and this may be my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant of them all. The food was so flavorful and delicious. Chips and salsa---best I've ever had. Guacamole--best I've ever had. Tamale--best I've ever had. Everything else from the cheese enchilada, beans rice, chili relennos, sour cream enchiladas, sopapillas...even the tea...was outstanding. My family stopped in after my son played in a baseball game in Comanche. Now we are trying to find a reason to return. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Review Source:The food was mediocre at best, and parts of the restaurant had a strange smell. Â My significant other thought it was "ok", but I wish we'd made a different choice for somewhere to eat this evening. Â He had fajitas and I had tamales. Â I usually really like tamales, but not these. Â
The staff is pleasant and attentive. Â The decor is strange, a mix of American indian (undoubtedly because the restaurant is in Comanche, TX) and Mexican... identity crisis?
This is a great place to eat. Â I've been there several times and have always been pleased. Â The chips and salsa are fresh, the queso is wonderful. Â I've love the sour cream chicken enchiladas and the chili relleno is very good. Â Fajitas are good too. Â Comanche is know for the Indians that roamed there and they have a huge tee pee in front with life size indians inside. Â Very Cool. Â I would recommend Miguels to anyone.
Review Source:You want cheese on that? Â Â
We heard this place was good, but I knew we were making a mistake when we saw the wall of crosses and Indians in a Mexican restaurant. Â There's even a giant tepee outside. Â
I had three chicken enchiladas with the regular sauce and a chili relleno. Â I knew something was going to go wrong here when the waitress said, "You mean a chili ruh-lay-no?" Â
The chicken enchilada was about a half pound of cheese mushed into a log (this stuff wasn't even melted!) topped with two large lumps of "fajita" chicken, rolled in a corn tortilla, tomato sauce, and topped with another half pound of cheese. Â
The chili ruh-lay-no, was a big NO.  There was a good pepper in  there, and I think it had some beef inside it, but it was all rolled in a flour tortilla, deep fried, and then covered with a good 4oz of cheese sauce. Â
If you love cheese, go here! Â If you love Mexican food, stay away!
My wife had the cheese enchiladas in the sour cream sauce. Â I don't want to scare you with the amount of cheese she got, so you might just want to try this place to see it for yourself. Â
On the plus side, service was great, the tea was good, and you can smoke. Â Maybe they make a good chicken fried steak?
