This is the NEW Bay Hundred! New owners, new food, new attitude... and a new dedication to locals, as well as to new clientele. The food is classic, bay-inspired fare with a nice variety of dishes sure to please anyone: the crab fritters, lamb burger, and steak salad are particularly tasty.
Review Source:This restaurant recently re-opened with new ownership. Redecorated, Redone, and RE-NEWED. Completely different vibe and , most importantly taste. Â We decided to dine there for my birthday dinner.
We started with the Crab and Corn Fritters-let me say I could have just eaten these all night and nothing else. They were lightly fried, and not heavy at all, with generous portions of crab meat. Do not miss these. Â We had an excellent Caesar salad-the chef makes his own dressing. This is something many places serve-but they don't serve it like this place. The dressing was outstanding.
Our main courses were a couple of local specialties-Crab Cakes and Rock Fish.
The Rockfish was seared, served on a bed of rice, with a tomato, caper, black olive tapenade, with a light butter sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly-and complemented just right by the flavor of the tapenade and sauce.
The Crab Cakes-were the best we've eaten on the eastern shore. there was nothing but heaping lumps of freash local crab meat. I am mystified by how they stayed in cake form! it was nothing but crab! They were served with Asparagus and corn, in a sharp sauce that match perfectly with sweetness of the crab.
There is a bar out back on a deck that has great sunset views of the bay.
The service was friendly, helpful, and great.
This place is as good as anything Downtown DC has going.
Worth the drive from Ocean City, Annapolis, or DC.
