Mills County BBQ Company

I stopped by Mills County BBQ on a recent trip through the hill country of central Texas.  It was just past noon when I pulled up to the unassuming structure and walked inside.  Several working men, just finishing lunch, were having a good time.  I checked out the menu and ordered a two meat combo:  brisket and sausage with beans and potato salad.  

This was outstanding bbq!  The brisket was moist and had a rich smoky taste.  Sauce was served on the side, but of course-in Texas bbq needs no sauce.

The sausage was good but not great.  The beans were seasoned with chili powder and were an appropriate side for this manly meal.

Add some white bread and iced tea, this was a great beginning to a bbq tour.
