Mimbres Valley Cafe

I can only write about my very quick visit to the cafe...It was just a restroom stop since they were already closed. I was camping nearby and wanted to get a bite to eat. I went to Silver City instead for food. It was nice of the lady to let me use the restroom. I thought it was a friendly place.

Been coming here since 1992.  This is pretty much the only place to eat in the Mimbres Valley area (besides the gas station that never seems to have gas)... but it has excellent food.  It's just a little road-side cafe, nothing fancy, but it's been open a long time, and their menu is large and diverse (burgers, sandwiches, Mexican food, tempura, etc).  Never have had a bad meal here, the prices are cheap and the waitstaff is friendly.  

The green chile is homemade and is always spicy and tasty, and goes great on the enchiladas, chile rellenos or a burger.  You can't go wrong when you eat here.  So unless you want to make the drive to Silver City, this is pretty much your only choice.

By the way, the area code changed to 575 a long time ago.
