Personally I don't necessarily like to try new Mexican restaurants because there is so much average or even sub-average Mexican food out there.
But my daughter suggested we give this place a try on a recent stay in Boonville and so with some trepidation, we entered. I was particularly concerned with the strange daily special signed for "homed" enchiladas- turns out they meant enchiladas with homemade tortillas, which is what I ended up ordering.
The enchiladas consisted of 3 thick, just of the grill tortillas, dipped in a nicely spiced sauce and wrapped around some sumptuous carnitas, accompanied by the usual  but well executed rice and very smooth and creamy beans.  They were topped with lettuce,, Mexican cheese, sour cream and avocado. Pretty good.
My daughter had the crispy ala carte tacos. She liked 'em.
Service was super friendly - felt like we were part of the small town vibe.
So, while I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, it's okay for en en route fuel-up or place to check in with the locals.
