No idea why it has some low ratings, but the food was great and service was A+! When you initially walk in you feel like your on a walking tour of historical buildings. You step back in time to the 1920's; while enjoying the historical architecture, the menu has simple soup, salad, and comfort food. Â This place definitely deserves a second trip.
Review Source:The atmosphere inside is unique, and a nice difference from the typical restaurant in town. The waiter was friendly and prompt. Â The menus had just been changed, so some of the items we were interested in while sitting in the waiting area were not available on our table menus. Â The water here is not filtered, so you are forced to go with a soda or lemonade - I wish more places in town offered the filtered water so more people could drink water! I ordered the quiche of the day (spinach & mushroom) with a side of fruit and I also received a side salad. Â The quiche was ok - I've had better, but the other diners at my table seemed to enjoy their choices (Miss Hattie's burger and the meatloaf special). Â I ordered light because I really wanted to try their bread pudding - only to be told that they were out and were not making anymore. Lame! Â The overall price for our lunch was kinda high for what you get, but the atmosphere is nice and it's a fun spot to take out of town visitors. Â I'd probably give them a try again - if for nothing else but to see if I can try that bread pudding!
