MJ's cafe is pretty good for Adairsville. The man who runs the place is super nice. Â Their food is cheap and brings back memories of cafeteria food from high school that many people hate to admit they loved. Â If you happen to find yourself in Adairsville give it a try over the chains and Support Small Town Businesses.
Review Source:I was faced with two options this afternoon: Â Subway or MJ Cafe. Â "I guess I'll try something new," I thought, and walked into MJ. Â My first impulse when I stepped inside was to run back out. Â Had I not been greeted so cheerfully, I would have bolted. Â On one of the walls, there is an out-of-place mural of a lake and some swans. Â Against the opposite wall is a Pac Mania machine that looks like it could be 30 years old. Â
The menu at MJ is limited. Â I wanted a fish sandwich, but they don't have that anymore. Â Then I ordered apple juice. Â They were out of that as well. Â Finally, I settled on a turkey and cheese sandwich. Â I COULD easily make a sandwich at home like the one I received...but I WOULDN'T. Â The sandwich came on wheat bread. Â The turkey wasn't even the deli-sliced kind. Â It reminded me of the cheap meat at the supermarket that still has that slimy, jelly stuff on the edges. Â Iceberg lettuce, a tomato, and a slice of American cheese were the other toppings. Â The sandwich came with a single pack of mayonnaise. Â
I also ordered onion rings. Â They weren't bad, but they couldn't compensate for the nastiness of the sandwich. Â The people in MJ were nice, but absolutely nothing could compel me to return here.
