Mooney's is a favorite of mine.  You gotta love a local pub that makes a killer bloody mary, always has a variety of microbrews to try, and will put on the surround sound for your favorite sports game!

They also have a great outdoor patio that is a really nice place to sit and watch the sunset behind the hills.

Always full of friendly staff and customers and a great selection of local music playing Thursday through Saturday.

Watched Italy vs. Germany here.  Great brews, decent food, nice little pub.

Mooney's was the first place we passed on our way into town from our hotel, so we looked it up to make sure they were open late (not much in Sedona is and Yelp kept finding listings in Flag) and decided to hit there after dinner.

Mooney's is a pretty legit Irish pub with a fully stocked bar and live music, friendly patrons and dogs wandering around, so all in all a decent place to spend a Saturday night. Since it was open late and close to our hotel, we stayed for a good few hours. It mostly cleared out about 1, except for us and a group of local restaurant employees there after their shift.

Mooney's has great prices, great people, great service, and darts!

Also, when you get the drunk munchies you can order food from Sugre's Hillside and they will deliver the food to you at the pub, nom, nom, nom...

    This is a bar.
Do not come here looking for fancy decor or a gourmet meal.
The service is great, they are dog friendly and have some great beers on tap.
The room is small, but cozy. If you do get hungry, you can order food from a limited menu and it is brought to you from the restaurant upstairs. The food smelled great, although we didn't order anything ourselves.
They make a mean Irish Coffee, by mean I'm saying good luck walking a straight line after one. :)

This is one of the only places in town that stays open past 9pm. They are open til 2am everyday!

I enjoy this place as a casual spot to grab a reasonably priced drink in Sedona.

    Cheers!

Mooney's Irish Pub celebrates Oktoberfest , cant get more lucky than that in Sedona! I'm a regular and cant complain about Seven German Fest Beers on tap for the season. You will not find this anywhere in the region.  Not to kick the Irish because the wiskey selection is where the shamrock shines and Mooney's has it.. shelves of it. So put up the Smiddicks and saddle up to a Paulaner Fest-Marzen! P.S. Guinness on tap..

Visited post-hike on a Saturday in July. Our server was a sweet, curly-blonde woman who took good care of us as our group of 9 straggled in. Inside were 4 tables, with one occupied, and the bar. We took (the only) table outside on the detached patio.

The tap selection included the recently released Ovila Saison by Sierra Nevada, and several other Belgians along with AZ craft beers and, of course, the expected Irish varieties on tap or in bottles, not to mention a fairly serious selection of Irish Whiskeys. We got a round going and then tackled the bar menu.

Half of us were down for some rib-sticking pub food, while the more veg-loving half looked dismally at the sparse menu, not finding any of it appealing. Our server said the food was prepared by "the restaurant upstairs", presumably Shugrues Hillside Grill. Although Shugrues claims numerous awards, notably "Sedona's Best Seafood", the version of fish and chips our table received could nowhere near back up that boast. The surprisingly expensive $13 four-piece of limp fish sticks and undersized sample of frozen french fries was served on a styrofoam plate and came with packets of condiments. Similarly, the bangers & mash was underwhelming and too much money for what we got.

The most unlikely dish to anticipate any level of greatness was my own Irish Nachos. At $10, the mess of french fries covered in cheddar cheese, bacon, and Irish sausage turned out to be the best deal on the menu, perfect for a binge eater or hangover fix.

Take it or leave it, the food compares to a typical bar that happens to have food -- don't expect too much. But the bar itself should rank high for it's well-chosen beer and spirits.

We went on Sunday- only one gal handling everything, bar & food, still she was excellent. Best fish & chips...efficient and tasty.
Also went upstairs to Oh My Ganash...fabulous pastries...so drop into Hillside.

I feel bad for giving them a bad review, but I was just not impressed. I wandered in one Tuesday night in search of something to do. It was my first time in Sedona, and I didnt realize the town completely shuts down by 9pm. I found this place on foursquare and decided to give it a try, since it was basically the only place selling beer that DIDNT have a huge Circle K sign above it.

First off the place is pretty small. I think Ive been to Subway restaurants that were bigger than this place. The bartender was very nice and I was serve immediately. But the place just didnt seem like it had anything going on. Two flat screen TVs, showing ESPN & the D'backs game. A handful of locals immersed in their own conversations. And a guy on a laptop at the bar, I think he was the manager.

I think if you have a fun group, you can easily make the place fun. But if not, dont expect much.

Inside is pretty plain, but it's a good place to have a quiet beer and watch the sunset since it is down the road a bit from the center of town. They have a couple of tables and a bench outdoors. Didn't try the food.

First of all, let's just be up front with a simple fact.  You can't call yourself an Irish bar simply because you have Harp and Guinness on tap.  The decor reminded me more of a college dorm room rather than a proper public house.  One more reason to leave Sedona to the masses of tourists.

I find it hard to believe after being open for 1 year that this is the first review but whatever.

I really liked the pub. They offer a full bar with about 5 or 6 Irish friendly brews on tap. We came in for some food and were quite excited with the fish and chips option but what we didn't realize was that their menu is basically catered in from a neighboring restaurant. No big deal if you like eating your dinner out of a to-go box with plastic ware, which we didn't mind for this specific meal, but we may have minded if we thought we were out for a nice evening. The food was really good regardless of the way it was served.

The bar also offers a couple of flat screens for your favorite sports viewing, as well as a couple of dart boards in back for your favorite came of Cricket. The service is friendly and personable...it's Sedona...!!  As for a full-blown Irish pub experience, this probably isn't it, but for a few brews with some good food and a chill atmosphere, it's great!
