I went to Mosquito on a Saturday night and had a terrible time. Â The food was mediocre (what i would expect from a dive bar) but two appetizers took 45 minutes! Â The crowd was decent but the service was terrible. Â The waitress handling the probably 10 people not sitting at the bar never stopped by the table unless it was to drop off something or take our initial order. Â We had no "how's your food?" or "would you like another drink?" and the only "is there anything else i can get you?" came after she dropped off the check. Â Seriously?! Â Im not expecting 5 star service here, but i felt ignored and unwelcome. Â This was compounded by the band they had doing warm up for the entire hour we were there. Â This included some eye-gouging drumming for the sake of the sound tech. Â I wont be going back.
Review Source:This is the nicest "dive bar" I've ever been in. Â The bar food is typical but decent, the decor is interesting and karaoke is really REALLY fun. Â The clientele can get very wild, and sometimes a bit too boisterous, but it's a nice change from the binge-drinking university-student -dominated downtown scene.
