I have enjoyed several meals here. The pizza and salads are good. The burgers and sandwiches are ok. The burgers are frozen and pre-made so you can't order the meat cooked to order. Service is friendly and basic.
This restaurant is good for larger groups where you want to talk and enjoy louder company. Great for kids to run around. it's one of the few restaurants open on Monday evenings.
What can I say? It's Not a Brewery as advertised period .
I looked them up here on Yelp as I was planing my stay in Middletown going to Harbin Hot-springs in the morning , Hoping for some great home-brew not here , disappointed .
The sign out front says (Brewery) totally misleading Not a Brewery . They do have some guest taps the only thing saving them .
The Beer tender was quite apologetic about them not brewing (2years)
I had a burger and fries $9 not worth it !
I would not go back , there are other restaurants around the area that look promising though .
Just my opinion , Good Luck Folks
What can I say? It's a brewery that also serves up pizza and burger type food.
The veggie burger is actually surprisingly good. My gf had the pasta which she said was decent. Unfortunately it's setup in a way that you have to order and pay upfront so when you want a second round of beers, you're forced to go back up and reorder from the same unfriendly kids that originally ignored you when you first placed your order. Unless you choose to sit at the small bar in order to avoid the hassle
Oh, and minus another star for their decision to get rid of the beer sampler platter which was my favorite part of my last visit there.
All we had were beers and pizza. Â Pizza was ok for a brewery..
I recommend the IPA - as I always do anyway. Â They served this at the Twin Pine Casino. Â Since they did, I thought I would try it at the actual brewery restaurant.
Not bad at all! Â
Don't make the 29 south drive if you have more than one IPA. Â You may fall over the side of the road.
Worth the windy Hwy 29 drive.
Its nice for such a small town to have its own brewing facility.
The beer was a great surprise. Honey Wheat Ale, IPA, and Stout were all worth a pint or two. I was really impressed with the quality of beer. The just lost their brewer so no case to go. Hope the figure things out.
Large style dining hall with plenty of seating. The place was pretty empty and the food was good/okay for the price.
There's nothing special about Mt St. Helena Brewing Co. Â The food is mostly fried and the pizza is terrible. Â It's like eating a frozen cardboard pizza. Â I'm happy there is the option of going out for pizza in Middletown but I would rather bake a frozen pizza at home, it'll taste better. Â
The beer I've had at the brewery is some of the worst I've ever had. Â I think it must be an acquired taste.
If you want to meet up with friends then Mt. St. Helena Brewing Co., would be the best place to meet because it's so big inside. Â If you are hungry and wanting pizza, grab a frozen pizza, go to Round Table in Lakeport, or Mary's Pizza Shack in Santa Rosa to get a decent pizza because you aren't going to find it here. Â Bleh.
Woulda' never known or came by the place except for a 50% off pizza coupon that was given us by the staff at Twin Pines Casino. Â Away we went here in between the cash raffles over at the casino. Â Restaurant is only about a half mile or so from the casino. Â We ordered a basic pepperoni, soft drinks and I had the Honey Wheat Ale and Jackpot Lager.
It was happy hour, so the pints were only $2! Â Pizza came out fast and was pretty tasty in all it's greasy and crunchy goodness. Â Staff was young & friendly. Â Interesting local news items & bric-a-brac hanging from the walls. Â Looked like mostly tool belt wearing men with the full-on plumber's butt crack showing in the bar area lol!
Usually when I go to Harbin Hot Springs, also in Middletown, I bring food and cook it in the communal kitchen (Fern Kitchen). But, since this past Harbin vacation was our honeymoon, we decided to eat in the Harbin restaurant for dinner. The Harbin restaurant was expensive and not very good. We were sad. We drove into Middletown the next night in search of a good dinner, and we found it in Mount St. Helena Brewing Company.
We didn't try the beer, but we did enjoy our free refills of diet coke and root beer. The service was completely top notch. Our waitress was friendly, polite, helpful, and very attentive. She brought things we requested very promptly and our drinks were always refilled without us having to ask.
The pizza was good, too. It had tons of toppings on it (which it should for $18), including tons of crushed garlic, and not too much sauce. It had a little too much mozzarella: I had to break the cheese with my fingers pretty much every time I took a bite. We got half and half combo and veggie lovers. Both were excellent. We had leftovers, which were delicious cold the next day.
Hooray for this place, I love it!! Great beer, good food (great pizza) and nice people. Every week day afternoon you can drink any of their beers for $1.25 a pint and if you want to buy their beer to take home.....are you sitting down?.....$24 a case, thats right $1 a beer!!!!!!!!! Just awesome, Order a pizza and drink some beer.
Review Source:Good beer, I second the Honey Wheat Ale. Â They do have a lot of awards! Â Love the mushroom burger, very juicy! Â Also the one lady working the bar did an excellent job and hooked us up with a second beer at happy hour price, even though it was already 6:05. Â
Unfortunately, the bar area was too small and with 2 tvs blaring and the 5 guys at the bar shootin the sh*t, It was way to loud and cramped. Â I think next time we will order to go and pick up a 6-pack.
