Fried oysters were good. Peel and at shrimp was also good, albeit when it ran out it was not refilled. The rest of the food had very little flavor. Service was horrible.

Mr. B's is the greatest Southern food restaurant in the world. I would say this without a doubt, and that's given that I was born and raised in South Carolina and have eaten both my grandmas' and my mom's home cooking as well as countless meat 'n 3 type places' fare. No one else can compare: the Sunday lunch buffet at Mr B's is fit for the gods.

Mr B's is worth a whole day's drive to Lydia. I don't think anything else needs to be said.

Lots of sea food. I ate calabash shrimp and fried catfish which was really good even as leftovers.  Friendly staff of course. Buffet is OK and desert was great. I love the south east!

Mr. B's is a Hartsville destination for Sunday lunch. You will see EVERYONE you know and the line is often out the door. If you are in the area, GO HERE! I've been here almost every Sunday that I've been in Hartsville since I was born (I don't live there anymore, though), so I can tell you what's on the buffet - almost in order - and it's all great.

Here it goes - dressing, mac and cheese, butter beans, green beans, rice, chicken gravy, beef stew/gravy, creamed corn, fried chicken, turkey, cranberry dressing, slaw, potato salad, biscuits, roast beef, hush puppies...I'm sure I'm forgetting something . Soft serve and fresh cobblers and cake for dessert. And tea and coffee included.

You will leave full, happy - and if you're not from the area - you will have had all the Southern food experiences you need to have, all in one delicious place.
