I go there probably 2 or 3 * a week for the last year and nothing's really changed. Monday night is the best night to go beer is 2 dollars and mixed drinks are 2.50. Other than Monday they are very expensive for the location and the service you receive. They have 1 or 2 great bartenders and the rest are either drunk on the job or too busy caring on conversations with their friends to get you a beer. They do have a great setup for watching sports and a lot of space. Food is pretty decent too and fairly priced. To be a mom and pops bar it's pretty decent. On Monday night thats the night to go good crowd too
Review Source:This place is a hidden gem. From the outside, it is not terribly inviting, but once you get inside it has a comfortable feel.
Mr. Gees has been around for a while and has a reputation of being one of "the places" to watch sporing events, especially if you have a bunch of people with you. Mr. Gees has a big bar area and has a lot of space to sit and watch sports.
They have a nice bar selection and typical pub foods and snacks. Mr. Gees is a big hot spot the night before Thanksgiving - everyone who is home from college all knows to go to Mr. Gees to meet up with old friends!!
This place is right around the corner from me, so obviously I'm going to have to go check it out. It looked a little sketchy from the outside and, frankly, it looked a little sketchy on the inside... But the bartenders are nice, the locals are colorful, and it's a great place to catch some football.
They've got the Sunday ticket, so my New England-born ass can catch some Patriots (as long as I keep to myself and don't cheer too loudly). Plus, they serve up free hot dogs and subs for the game. Can't beat that.
