I don't have much to review Muddy Jake's on, but enough to say we would definitely go back and try more. Â We stopped into Muddy Jake's on a Saturday afternoon just for something to drink after walking around the town square. We had really friendly service, my boyfriend enjoyed the selection of beer they had on tap and I tried the queso with guacamole appetizer and it was really good. Â And they had really good sweet tea - always a must for me at a restaurant!
Review Source:Extremely mediocre food. Fries were extremely undercooked and mushy. Had turkey sliders. It was $7 for Hawaiian rolls a sliver of turkey and cheese. Awful awful. Only reason I didn't give 1 star is because their dips are good and shiner on tap. Avoid entrees just eat appetizers and drink beer. Lots of tvs to watch sports
Review Source:Bland was the order of the day. This was our first trip and we had heard good things so ... Â Anyway my wife and I were one of 4 people in the place... slow mid Sunday afternoon. I ordered the chips and queso. The queso was barely warmer than room temp and had a skin on top of it. For my main course I had some garlic parmigan wings. The texture of the meat was like sawdust and, while I could see something was on the wings that looked like cheese, it was also flavorless. My wife had a burger with mayo and onion rings. The burger was also completely flavorless, there was no mayo, and it was dry dry dry. The batter on the onion rings tasted like... nothing. I can only assume it was flour and water and nothing else because it was bland to the point of being un-edible. Our server was very nice. However it took 30 minutes to get our food out when we were the only one's there who were eating. All in all a dismal experience and we can't recommend this place to anyone.
Review Source:Great food! I really enjoyed the live music on Saturday night and the drinks were well poured and fairly priced. I'm told they also have karaoke on Friday nights. I'll definitely be back for that!
The ambiance is pretty unique and the menus and food are higher class than anything i've seen in the area, and even some theme restaurants in Dallas. Try the cheese sticks, the loaded fries ( go fully loaded - chili, jalapenoes, bacon) and the wings. I made a meal from those and walked out stuffed and for less than $25.
Pretty good bar food. Fried is their specialty. French fries and onion rings were notable. One pound of house salad served in a dog bowl is a little weird, but different strokes for different folks I guess. I had the Sugar Bites and it was the first time I've ever seen hot ham and cheese sandwiches in a bar/restaurant. Not too bad, but nothing amazing.
