Music City Roots

Last night, I heard one of the best concerts ever.

It featured Grammy-award winning producer / singer Mr. John Carter Cash (yes, the son of Johnny and June), the dangerously cool Miss Izzy Cox, the lovely vocalizing of Miss Anna Johnson, and the virtuoso bluesy tunes of Mr. Seth Walker.

Outstanding.

How much did this unforgettable 2-hour musical smorgasbord set me back? All of $10.

Yes folks, Music City Roots consistently offers some of the best entertainment in terms of both Quality and Value in Music City.

Broadcast live from the Loveless Barn (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/loveless-barn-nashville">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) most Wednesday nights, Music City Roots should appeal to anyone who loves country, bluegrass, roots or Americana.

Heck, it should appeal to pretty much anyone loves music and enjoys having a good time. Come with an open mind. In the rare instance that a specific performer is not to your taste, just grin and bear it knowing that some other performer or band will take the stage in about 30 minutes.

The room is comfortable (new, big, clean, great acoustics), the libations are affordable, the parking is plentiful and free and you just might discover some extraordinary music that electrifies you like a lightning bolt. Criminally, the Barn was only half full for last night's amazing show. Maybe the cold weather has got folks hibernating?
