Though an avid hockey I'm not one who is big on sport's bars but having chosen not to have dish or cable I needed to surrender to finding a place for game 1 of Stanley Cup. Driving in the Sycamore area I chose this place because of its name figuring a decent TV would be present. It was and I was blessed to sit right in fron of it, probably since it was not jammed pack but for me that's a plus.

The serves were a plus, all your cute, attractive what is ever the political correct thing to say these days but they weren't dressed to look like 'girls gone wild' instead provided good service and friendliness

Though I went for the game, I had to try the food. It's kind of a natural for me try most bar food and MVP wasn't bad. I had the buffalo chicken and though I've had better it was good enough.

I returned for game 3 and though the game was UGH. MVP was still a plus and this time I had the sandwich and it was very good, so good I'm a fan. Only bummer is hockey season is almost over and I'll no longer have use for a sports bar but I will for that steak sandwich - GO HAWKS

I love this place on a warm summers day.  So cool that you can go on the rooftop and have a beer.  It's not the most scenic view, but they make it nice by having a few fun murals and comfy furniture.  I always say I'm going to have something different, but I end up with the Fajita Wrap, it's so good.  Grilled chicken, guac....love it.  Add in some waffle fries and it's perfect.  It depends on what you're looking for crowd-wise.  I was there recently during a Bears game and thought I would lose my mind it was so loud.  Sometimes it pulls a biker type crowd, but it's a fun place with good food.
I wish they had more options for side dishes with a burger or wrap, that's why the 4 stars.  4 or 5 versions of potatos is kinda boring to me.  Fruit, slaw, something not a starch....

I neither love, nor hate MVP.  I liked that they had a place for us to dance and it wasn't as crowded as some bars I've been to in Sycamore.

MVP's is the place to go if I want to see everyone that's graduated from Sycamore High School and is now of age to drink. Friday and Saturday night are pretty packed which isn't really a good thing.

The best thing is the outdoor patio on the roof - having a couple drinks during the week or on a weekend afternoon or early evening there is great.

If you want more of the Chicago bar scene feel - go on a Friday or Saturday night. If you want a couple casual drinks outside on a nice day - head for the roof top, this is the best outdoor patio in sycamore!

Pretty good service.  Don't really like how the rooms are so separated. It makes it a little hard to get around, but seems to be the spot for the locals

Never been on a weekend, but on Tuesday nights they have $4 pitchers & Half Price MVP Burger with Cajun Potato Salad (or Fries). The potato salad is good... it is deep fried potato chunks with a spicy mayo (?) style dressing with chopped green onions and is served warm. It is not AS good as Fatty's in DeKalb, but still good. The side of the restaurant is a garage door that opens up in good weather and they also have a closed in outdoor area to the side. It is a good place to grab a beer and cheap bar food.

It is cheap bar food, but tastes like bar food. PJ's down the road is much better.

Good Times at MVP's. I Visited MVP's for the first time this weekend for some cocktails.  MVP's is located in Sycamore, which is the town over from De Kalb/NIU.  I felt this place had a fun and Chicago style type of atmosphere without the expensive Chicago prices.  MVP's is definitely a place to go to when you are visiting out west.  My favorite part of MVP's was their apple pie shot.  Yum, they were so delicious I can't even remember how many we took.  Next time I make a trip to De Kalb I'm definitely stopping in.
