This is a descent NY pizzeria that serves the average quality NY style slice. The pizza is thin, the crust is charred nicely, and the product overall is nice. However, I have noticed a slight sour accent to the pizza the last 3 times I've eaten there. I have ordered from Napoli's at least 10 times in the past 2 years but the last 3 orders have caused me to reconsidered. To be honest, I love pizza! I order from many different places consistently and Napoli's WAS at the top of my list while in Liberty, NY. I will pay them another visit, but I sincerely hope that they sought out that sour note to their pie.
Review Source:And THAT is what NY pizza tastes like!
This was the clear winner of 4 stops we made to get pizza on a recent trip upstate. Had a garlic pie & a pepperoni, both were the best example of delicious, sweet sauced classic NY. BTW, a pie was only about $11.
The only thing I don't like about the place is that it's 3000 miles away from my home in CA! The next time I'm in Liberty (?) I'll be back!
Pepperplant sauce = NO
I've been eating here since I was a kid, and if you're a fan of real, thin, delicious authentic NY pizza this is the place (cheap too, like it used to be in Queens, lol). Their pepperoni calzones are my husband's favorite food; crispy, yeasty dough full of hot melty ricotta and mozzarella. Their lasagna dinner is a great value and it's what I usually order when the calzone craving hits the man. This is the real thing - looks like a total dive, then you walk out with a happy belly and wallet.
