Simply put, this place is AMAZING!
Small place with a cool vibe. went in around 7pm on a thursday and the place was fairly empty. They have a pretty good selection of custom burritos, but they also let you build your own. They're vegan friendly too!
Food is awesome, service is awesome.
I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!
Visiting out from out of town so had to find with vegan friendly place close to my hotel.
Walked in and the menu was a bit confusing but the waiter was super nice and helped me make my own burrito. Super delicious! She noted that everything but the meat/dairy was vegan so if that is a concern of yours then no worries. Hope to be back soon.
Everything here is good. The ingredients and fresh, the service is great, the portions are good for the price. You can create so many different combinations with meats, non-meats, sauce, salsas, tortillas, and veggies. They also have WONDERFUL quesadillas. The only thing I dislike is the fact it's connected to a bar that is often crowded, but the crowd isn't so bad.
Review Source:Now that Iconic Burrito closed down, Neato Burrito can safely claim its place as the top burrito joint in Spokane. That's if you don't count the growing number of Mexican Familia-run taquerias that have sprung up in the last few years. However, how many of those taquerias can make a kick-ass Thai burrito with peanut sauce that could be the envy of every Thai place east of the Cascades? Or how about an Indian curry burrito? Barbecue? This is also a vegetarian and vegan-friendly place with great staff and you can even have a beer with your burrito! BTW the Baby Bar is connected to Neato! Another plus is the fact that you can pick up a copy of the Seattle alternative paper The Stranger here! So yeah. I am a fan!
Review Source:Despite having Burrito in the name "Mexican" is a pretty bad word to describe this place. I wanted to get a authentic style burrito but ended up with about as white person of a burrito as possible. A lot of people like that style, so if you're one of them, you'll like this place. If you're looking for authentic, look elsewhere.
The only redeeming quality for me is the willingness of the owners to use their space as a venue for live music.
Fresh habanero sauce for my burritoe? Â I'm officially sold. Â Cheap good eats, great staff to talk too. Â I had been traveling in Spokane all week and this was by far one of my favorite lunch spots. Â The person behind the counter took the time to answer questions about the menu and make suggestions. Â I'll be back!
P.S. It is kind of sketch on the outside. Â Take that as a good sign, ignore it, and chow down. Â
Did I mention fresh habanero sauce?
I love coming here and getting a veggie thai burrito and flipping though an inlander. I really appreciate how they have SEASONED brown rice, and  their thai sauce is a bit spicy. Really cool atmosphere. However, the tables are always sticky and the burrito artist is always much, much cooler than you are...
Review Source:My yelp reviews seem to be a lot like my spicy Thai food preference lately: 5 Star. But I'm not just handing out 5-star reviews to every place I eat. No no no. On the contrary, I only eat at really awesome places based on all the Yelp reviews I read! Yeah, that's it.
Really, I'll give someone else a one or two star review soon enough. But for now ...
To add another blinged-up Orion's belt to my list (you just laughed at my nerdy astronomy joke ... I heard it!), I would like to name Neato Burrito as the best fast food Mexican fare in town. There are two reasons why this is so. Let's list those in reverse order, just because we can:
2) The food is amazing. So far I've had the black-bean quesadilla smothered in curry sauce, and the tofu burrito smothered in peanut sauce. I never would have thought to mix South American and Thai cuisine, but damn it's good! Their curry is actually really delicious. And the peanut sauce is magnificent.
1) They are connected to the Baby Bar. I'll go into more detail about that in another review, but three magnificent things were combined in one place: Delicious aforementioned (or "to-be-mentioned" if you are going in numerical order) food. Amazing drinks (I had the best Midori Sour of all time there). And amazing music (My favorite Spokane band, Cuss Jar, was performing). That is the trifecta of awesomeness in my book.
They also serve food until late late late. So you can eat there to absorb alcohol on a Friday or Saturday night.
That is all. Thanks.
Maybe it's because I had a curry burrito (advertised as Indian but actually more like Thai), that this place was a fail. Â I'm sticking to 2 stars because the rice was dry, hard, and tasted frozen/pre made rather than authentic. Â The tortilla was green and odd, every bite I took left pieces of burrito stuck to the front of my teeth that was pretty hard to remove. Â Most of all, the flavors didn't marry well, everything tasted slightly undercooked except the chicken which was dry.
On the plus side you get to choose the light or regular portion. Â I had the light and it was regular sized anywhere else. Â It's connects to the Baby Bar, so you can walk right on over for drinks after. Â Lastly, they have weird hours but is generally open late.
We did metered parking on Lincoln by the Steam Plant Grill. Â
The search for good Mexican food goes on.
Little known fact, Neato is connected to The Baby Bar. Aslo little known: cool bands play there and there's no cover: The Cameros, Whiskey Dick Mountain, and three others whose names escape me - just in the last couple of weeks.
The burritos are very noteworthy. The Thai is pretty tasty - all peanuty and just the right amount of heat. I'm into the chicken and rice with chipotle sourcream (excellent) and cheese.
A nice way to enjoy a full range of Burritos, Quesadillas, and Nachos. The setting is only complimentary to the food. It's nice to get away from the cookie cutter microwave universe and get into Locally Owned unique food establishment. The beer selection is where it's at... along with the pinball machine. Also, they serve RC cola! Mmmmm...
Review Source:Recently spent the weekend in Spokane visiting my youngest brother and his family. His wife made Neato Burrito our first stop afetr picking me up from the airport. I had the meatless Thai wrap and I have to say it was pretty tasty! Had a nice amount of heat and good crunch. I had it wrapped in a spinach tortilla so a little extra special flav. It's not a burrito bar, but call it what you will the food is grub. BTW - the small burrito is normal sized, the normal burrito is as big as your head. You've been warned.
Review Source:I'm breaking out the 5 stars on this one.
Neato Burrito is NOT Mexican burritos instead they are wraps done burrito style. There are many similar options available Sonic (ionic) burritos, slick rock, go-go, etc. While I have eaten at these others and the product is usually good none of them have wowed me. That is until this little unpretentious joint attached to the Baby Bar.
We had the BBQ, Thai Chicken and the Bean and cheese MONSTER burritos. First of all they were loaded with flavor, big and cheap. They were the best tasting and the value was great. Plus they are open till 11PM most nights so I now know where to get my late-night munchies taken care off.
Neato Burrito is sort of a cool little place in downtown Spokane. The front is a restaurant with a bar in back. In the restaurant are a number of booths and the interior is a little bit dark despite the large windows: the walls are a mix of brown and black.
Not surprisingly, they serve burritos here. I had the BBQ burrito which was composed of corn, beef, sour cream, some type of salsa, cabbage and some other things I couldn't quite identify. It's also a bit of a good news, bad news meal. The good news is that it's huge and you certainly won't go home hungry from here. The bad news is that's kind of a stealth "burrito bomb": Â it's so loaded with toppings that as soon as you touch the burrito, it explodes. After scooping out piles of meat and corn with my hands, eventually I had to finish this with a fork. This made me reek of BBQ cabbage when I left, which I consider a good thing. I don't know if it was a happy hour deal or what, but they were also serving Olympia here for $1. Not my first choice in beers, but frankly I'd drink a urine sample for a buck.
As I mentioned above, there's also a bar in back. I actually didn't venture in the bar, but it was playing loud folk music while I was there. I can't say whether this is typical or not, but judging from the way people were dressed walking out, I'd say yes. Or it was Willie Nelson costume night. Either way, I like the convenience of having a burrito place as part of a bar. If I lived in Spokane, I could see hitting this place up for evening dinner, drinks, then the after-bar fourth meal.
