  The Mayport Tavern is a fun bar that is located about 1/2 mile from Mayport Naval Base in Atlantic Beach.  It is your local watering hole that can be fun to meet friends at.   Just know that they only serve Beer and Wine, along with some wine based liquors?  But the beer is cold and you can get it by the bukketful!
  
  They have Pool Tables, Darts and Poker Machines along with Wi-Fi.  They just added a huge addition to the bar and now offer a full fledged dance floor on Wednesdays thru Saturdays.  Karoake can be found Wednesdays thru Saturdays. They both get their groove on at 9pm.
  
  My sister actually had her birthday party here and it was a blast.  The jukebox is one of those internet download things that has access to tons of songs and plays them all LOUD!
  
  But be careful getting your drink on anywhere on Mayport Road.  It is infamous for DUI checkpoints and the police are famous for hiding behind parking lots and in between buildings waiting for a possible drunk driver.  And besides, you shouldn't be driving drunk anyway, cabs are plentiful and cheap out this way!
