New Place Lounge

For a dive bar to be awesome, the staff must be both impudent and dexterous, the deep frier must have the flavor of love and the clientèle must be diversely trashy. New Place Lounge had none of this. The waitress had difficulty mobilizing the bartender and was overly apologetic about it. The fried onion rings were completely bland--like eating gruel for the obese.

+1 star for the dude-bro passing out THC-laden baked goods (cookies and rice krispie treats) in plain view.

Warning: There are placards with enticing specials for low-priced beers on the tables, but these prices don't apply on weekends nor do they bother to remove them.

It's a Dearborn bar with a down river feel- pull out a map kids....  Downriver shows up on wiki, it's official. I don't eat here, it's more of a drinking establishment with Karaoke on Thursday's.  There is a game room with pinball machines, a pool table, a Foosball  table and perhaps another arcade game all under the watchful observation of  many mounted animal's.  Touch it, touch the moose...

How about it for Karaoke. Standard downriver bar. Cheap beer, smelly bathrooms, smoky.
