This is my favorite dive bar in Southeast Michigan. Like many of the other Three Nicks bars, they have great food specials... as in many entire meals under $4. The drink specials are impressive, and they usually have a rotating craft beer on special (sometimes 32oz for $3!). Tons of TVs tuned to relevant sporting events, karaoke on certain nights, and wonderful, attentive wait staff round out the perfect relaxing evening. They also have some amazing special events, such as renting buses and taking patrons round trip to the St. Patty's Day Parade in Detroit.
Obviously it's not a fancy or frilly place, but I wouldn't change a thing.
I've lived/frequented the Dearborn Hts/Allen Park area for over 7 years, and this is your true hole in the wall establishment. We go about once or twice a month, and this is definitely the place to be when some sort of Detroit sports game is on. You have to get there super early to get a table. The atmosphere is awesome, everyone really gets into the games. I love the food. It's certainly not gourmet, but a Texas Toast Barbecue Cheeseburger for $1.99? It's hard to pass that up. Their beer specials are always amazing, and not just for the standards, it's not uncommon to get a 36 oz (name a specialty beer) for $3.25. It's not uncommon for 3 people to walk out paying $20 (tax and a good tip included). How can I not love this place?
Review Source:This place is a total dive but in a good way. No windows, steel doors, the parking lot turns into a small lake when it rains. They have really cheap burgers ($1) and had Christmas ale on tap (keep in mind its December) . I also ordered some cheese bread which was a mistake, it was just cheese on a slice of bread. Oh yeah the waitresses only wear bikinis. For some reason it was less awkward then bikini bars i have been to in the past but still awkward.
I would go again but this is the type of place you only bring co-workers that are down for such a fine establishment.
