Great place for a pre or post dinner drink. Â Gets crowded but there are two other small bars in the restaurant where one can sit he have a drink without having dinner. Â Although the food looked and smelled delicious. Â The bar menu is creative and there will be something for everyone. My favorite is the Devil's Kiss, a martini with vodka, pomegranate, prosecco.

Nice dark bar,
Lots of beers on tap,
Tried to talk to a girl,
My face she did slap.
Poker table upstairs,
Pool tables in the back,
Music and t.v.'s,
That girl must smoke crack.
Really lopsided ratio,
Of girls to guys,
Had to be 20-1,
Odds that I despise.
Great specials,
All during the week,
Jack Daniels and Jim,
Go to sleep if you tweak.
I prefer this place,
Any day over The Buck,
It's less crowded,
To find someone to f**k.
Jiggalo!!!!
When reviewing bars you have to take it for what it is... a place to relax and have a drink. Does it matter that I would never order a manhattan here? Of course not... Have I thought about the fact that it's a dimly lit, historical building lined with dark wood yet they have outkast bumping from the speakers? Of course I have... but that's the reality of the situation. You have to cater to your crowd. They have pool tables, foosball, fun music and plenty of places to kick back and relax. The large oil paintings of naked ladies, dark wood and dim lights make this place second to none when it comes to old bars in the mountains. So as much as I'd like to be drinking a pre-prohibition cocktail made by a grey haired gentleman with a big beard and suspenders, whilst sitting next to a guy by the name of crazy Earl whose wearing a tattered cowboy hat and has an equally crazy horse parked out front and we are all listening to the sound of live honkey tonk piano play in the background. A place where we don't talk about our problems we just grunt or groan, I'll accept the fact that that place may only exist in my mind and in the meantime I'll see you at the Sheridan.
Review Source:We were in town for the Blues & Brews Festival this year and stopped in for a drink after we had some dinner. Crowded spot but we were able to snag 2 seats at the bar. Not exactly the friendliest of bartenders.....but $5 drafts were the selling point. Cool spot and good location to say the least.
Review Source:I stopped in the New Sheridan while on my cross-country motorcycle trip. This place was recommended to me by one of the locals I ran into at Allred's. It was a Monday so it was kind of slow which I liked. The bartendress was sweet and gave me a lot of good advice on places to visit while on my journey to California. The beer was super cold and the clientele were all friendly nice tourists. Lots fo craft beers if that is your thing.

Best bar in Telluride ... and we tried them all.
$5 glasses of jack? And the bartender (also the owner) is generous on the pour. Probably two or three fingers of jack in one glass. Â My companion was well pleased.
I had cosmopolitans and they were made to perfection. Â I only note this because it seems that SO many bars in Denver/Lakewood do not know how to make a decent cosmopolitan, or even know what it is? Huh?
Pool tables, blues music and a good crowd. Clearly the place for the locals when they want to go down the pub.
I liked.
Wow- this place does some business. We wanted to come here but it was always so so busy and loud. Finally we went in late night to check it all out. Bar has $5 Jack Daniels every night and different specials on each night of the week. We were in on Saturday night and they had $5 mandarin vodka and $7 Mexican setups (shot of tequila and a bottle of Plata mexican beer). So I had the vodka and soda and hubs had the mexican set up. Not a bad deal. We were lucky enough to get seats at the bar but I doubt that is usually the case for most evenings. I definitely think this is the "scene" of Telluride.
They do have a glass of wine and 10 oz sirloin steak for $21 any night of the week in the bar or parlor. So if you want to try their steak but wish to avoid the $40 price tag on it, you can skip the restaurant and try it out for half the price. There's my little tid bit for the day!
We went to two Nightgrass shows. The staff refused to clean up a pancake of puke on our "gallery" seats the first night even though we were 30 min early. I spoke with the bar manager who assured me it would be cleaned b4 our next show. Nope, still there in all its stanknasty chunktacular glory the next night. Sheridan should be ashamed.
Review Source:Charming historic bar filled with skiiers from out of town talking up a storm about their ski conquests.
Full bar with all kinds of beers. Â Pool tables in the back, poker upstairs.
Easy to talk to anyone sitting at the bar, strangers or not since everyone there is in a good mood, on vacation.
Not sure why'd this get less than 5 stars. Certainly not less than 4. There on a Saturday night. The ambiance of this historic building are enough to warrant at least 4 stars. Great beer on tap, pool tables in the back, and poker game upstairs. if that doesn't bump you up to 5, not sure what does. Though the night I was there, I'd just battled 40 mph winds in a blizzard, so I'm sure a 40 minute wait for swill piss would have earned at least three stars, so take it with a grain of salt!
Bar staff was friendly and accommodating. Even though it was crowded, they changed the TV for me to the NBA dunk contest (which was greatly appreciated by the bar crowd as well). If you're waiting for dinner, come to his bar, not the small one inside the restaurant.
For a Friday night at 9:30-10pm, this spot was surprisingly empty. Â Maybe it was the weather or maybe it was because there was a Pirate party benefit going on at one of the other local bars :o)
We enjoyed a glass of wine and a glass of whiskey at the bar. Â Friendly service, old-time dark classic bar ambiance, wide selection of good liquor.
Great old school bar. Â Exactly what I would think most people are looking for during their stay in T-ride. Â Dark wood, lots of whiskeys, and plenty of pool tables. Â While I did run into some locals, it's mainly the tourists and some understanding bartenders. Â If you're looking for a place to kick a few back with a good crowd, this is as good as any place in town. Â And it's in the middle of everything.
