Wait...... New World... WHAT?!
New World Brewery is...... NOT...... a brewery.
That knocks it down to one-star, in my book. Â If I named a restaurant, "Jim's Burger Grille," and didn't grill any burgers (or maybe you could get a burger - but I order it in from McDonald's), would you feel duped?
The barkeep was friendly... the atmosphere was nicely set up like an outdoor hangout... and the other-people's brew selection was good...... so I'll at least give it two stars instead of one.
No idea about the food because we ate first...... you know...... thinking we were going to a BREWERY!
Advice?: Â Had we come to New World Pizza Pub, I think we would have had a much better time (and prepared accordingly by not eating and lighting up a couple cigars elsewhere). Â Drop the "brewery!" Â OR...... DO brew your own beer! Â Heck, even just one 10-gallon batch released every insert-slow-business-day-you-want-to-drive-in-a-Âcrowd-here until it's gone or something...
Perhaps I'll return, now knowing what to expect...... but this first visit, chock full of high expectations, was very disappointing.
Day/Time of Visit: weekday late night
Atmosphere: cool outdoor patio with outdoor area for bands
Went to see some bands - this place is cool! Super comfy outdoor patio - brick pavers, tables with umbrellas, and lush landscaping making it feel private. 'Door' guys were super friendly, no testosterone vibe at all. Way too many beer choices which just confuses me because I'm not a 'beerie' at all. Bartenders weren't super attentive - more interested in talking to each other than quickly acknowledging customers but not atypical for rock venues. They were friendly when they finally served you.
Will definitely come back when there are bands that I want to see (not so interested in the singer-songwriter stuff and that seems to be the type of music they book). And, I'm looking forward to trying some food - the rustic BBQ smell hovering over the patio was delightful!
I visited NWB in hopes that  I would stumble upon another awesome craft brewery in the area. They have craft beer down for sure, but all of it is from other breweries. I would suggest not calling themselves a brewery, but I digress.
I really, really liked the environment. The inside is very friendly feeling and offers free music from the jukebox. The bartenders seemed a bit standoffish at the beginning, but they warmed up and were actually really, really attentive and nice. Â The outside offers tables with shade provided by the trees above, a beautiful place to sit and people watch. :)
Along with a pretty good selection of craft beer, they also offer some food. Nothing really stood out for me but I was hungry and decided to try the pizza. I made my own (anchovies and black olives) and it was just "ok". I would probably eat elsewhere next time I'm in the area.
Added Bonus: If you're familiar with the rock band "Have Gun, Will Travel", this location sells "High Road Ale" which is brewed by the band's own company - Rock Band Brewery. m/
