  The restaurant is the best sit down place to eat in town.  The menu is way too big for the place.  I feel like a lot of the food is frozen food and other things come out of cans.  Their patty melt is good and I also like the their burgers.  I also like their breakfast food, but then again it is really hard to mess up breakfast food.    I don't care too much for the dinners because as I said they don't taste fresh, but it does come with a dessert which kids probably like.  The restaurant is clean and  bright, but I don't really get the interior design there is a lot going on in the place that doesn't really match.  The other thing I notice is that the ladies work really hard but you can tell they haven't ever been trained formally on how to take care of customers.  They do a nice local business, but there is nothing about the place that would make people come from outside of Cass City to eat their food.  
  
  We go there when we don't want to drive somewhere outside of town to eat.  As I said it isn't bad, they just don't do anything special.  The place doesn't have an identity.

  Cass city is in Michigan Central thumb area, almost dead center.  Another small community surround completely by farms or state parks.  Cass City has a small hospital and a couple of other small shops and services.  Nick's Country was an Arby's or Wendy's, its across the street from the local McDonald's - I guess they only allow one national fast food chain per town.
  
  Nick's is a dinner, a set menu - breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and half dozen dinner options, with daily specials.  Very friendly wait staff, and if I was in Cass City more than once a year, I'm sure they would even know my name.  Its a nice place to sit down and catch up on the local going on's - from the high school football to people moving in or out of town.
  
  The food is OK, not fancy, but hot and served quickly with a smile; better than McDonald's,
