Nightingale Supper Club

Five of us had a great dinner on our first visit to the Nightingale Supper Club.  We ordered the prime rib, scallops wrapped in bacon, loaded potato skins.  Everything done to perfection.  It does take some time, so if you're in a rush, this might not work for you.  However, I found the food to be well worth the wait and I would definitely go again.

The Nightingale never disappoints!  We've come here for years and have never had a disappointing dinner!  It is the quintessential Wisconsin supper club.  The slow roasted prime rib is very reasonable and the best we've every had- better than in any steakhouse in Chicago.  The perch and whitefish dinners are also excellent.  Don't miss the Nightingale when visiting Door County!

Monday night special -- lobster and tenderloin for $24. The best tenderloin we have ever had, ordered rare, which is often a disappointment, and it was perfect. Lobster tail came on top of the shell - lose the shell and enjoy the mean with drawn butter. Dinners come with salads -- excellent, and tonight a crab and asparagus soup, which was superb. Bar drinks are generous, and the bar is friendly and relaxed, although relaxed probably describes most of Door County...but they have a good bar with a full range.  Best dinner in years, said K, and we had dinner at the Capital Grille in Milwaukee not too long ago. But then, we sent the steaks back because they were overcooked. We have never had a bad dinner at the Nightingale, but this was excellent. A nice Ravenswood Zin, but they could use a little more imagination in their wine list. The Napa Cellars Zin is great, if a little pricey. How about Chile or South Africa on the list?
