Nino's Tavern

there aren't that many bars to choose within the imlay city boarders. you could go to lucky's but you'd be gettin' tipsy while someone is either celebratin' some mile-stone birthday or giving that promised 'weekend out' to some blue-collar wife. there's other choices to name but you always find yourself makin' the easy trip to nino's tavern. it's nothing to plaster on an highway sign of attractions but it's still just a bar. the dance floor is the only space that isn't occupied by tables and the dj on hand seems to be a friend-of-a-friend who has the know-how in  plugging their itunes into two speakers not build for a common laptop. i've seen a few brawls erupt. there's been a few moments where i've glanced around and questioned why i was out. a woman made a forceful pass at me that could have been rape if i didn't have sloppy smile to hide all that shock. the billiard tables are usually occupied for their intended play or another set of tables to lean and rest on. if building your confidence, or shaming yourself in public, is your game, then you can club out an electronic punching bag that spits out honest truth of how much of a man you are. the beer is cheap. i hear it's cheaper on wednesdays but i don't drink so far from the weekend.

in the end, it's just a small town bar. it doesn't try too hard to be anything more than so.

so drink your beer in company, 'cause drinking at home alone is not worth missing all that character.
