There is a reason why they call this place No Name because you forget your name by the time you leave.
The drinks are super cheap and I swear the bartenders pour doubles every time. I didn't pay for my drinks, but I am pretty sure my friend told me that my Jack and Ginger drinks were only $4 a piece. What? That is unheard of at any other bar I have been to.
It was chilly the night I was there, so I didn't get a chance to hang out on the awesome patio that overlooked the bay. That was unfortunate because the place was so smokey. I would say that was one of the only downfalls.
The place was packed with locals and it was a pretty diverse and eclectic crowd. There is a popcorn machine in the back corner that seemed to be pretty full of somewhat fresh popcorn and baskets for patrons to help themselves. I think I remember helping myself to some at one point during my groggy state after about three "double" Jack and Gingers.
I would like to go back on a warmer night and hang on the patio. At that point I may update my review.
I dont often drink mixed drinks because I dont often find a place that can make them right but No Name makes the perfect mixed drink everytime and cheap too! You can sit outside and watch the boats go by during the day. Thankfully they added some additional seating out on the deck; it can get really busy sometimes.
Review Source:Ive been going to the No Name Lounge for some time now and it really never gets old! Its pretty smokey inside so good luck convincing people that you werent at a strip club all night but hey its a bar/lounge thats what happens there, people smoke!
Its more of a locals hang out but everyone is welcome. Its low lit and tucked away in the back by the water, if you blink you'll miss it!!!
Plan on getting wasted (which I do) if your drinking liquor because the No Name is known for making the strongest drinks in town and they are delicious! Not that great of a selection of beer but they have the basics covered (bottles only, no draft)
The inside is pretty plain jane but the outside view of the Gulf from the seated deck is pretty much a good thing. This place is well worth a visit.
I feel bad even writing about this place since it's really a locals only type place, but I'm really bored and this ought to kill the time. Anyways, it's probably the best bar in town. I love how the drinks are so stiff, a simple gin and tonic will get you 3/4 a glass of gin, touched off by a little tonic. That's my kind of drink for sure. You can head there by boat or car, though by boat is probably easier if you'd believe it. The inside is a little smokey. How smokey? I know some of the pretty waitresses smoke but they still have that raspy phone sex voice, that's how smokey. The outdoor deck during the summer therefore is the way to go and you can just waste away an evening there with the comfortable knowledge that you'll be taken care of on your trip to blissful happiness
