Love to come here for a steak when we are in Gulf Shores! Â Friendly staff and the food is delicious. Â My husband has fond memories of coming here with his family years ago and after it was reopened after the hurricane, we had to try it out---it did not disappoint! Â We go back every year when we are in town.
Review Source:I was surprised and pleasantly so. With an area inundated with mediocre touristy restaurants, Nolan's was a definite bright spot. Â I did have some issues, but as a whole Nolan's had great service, good ambiance and good food.
Nolan's the type of restaurant that want's to be a seafood place, but really isn't, it's a steak place, but not really. Nolan's does know how to diversify a menu. They have a good seafood selection, and a good steak selection. I had an 8oz filet and it was more then enough. I ordered blue cheese crumbles, and wouldn't do it again, mainly because it was a lot of blue cheese, they weren't crumbles, more likely the whole wheel. The steak was good, and removing some of the cheese fixed it all up.
My friends also had the steaks, from the prime rib, which was reported as excellent, to a rib eye, which also was reported as excellent.
Service was also excellent, were visited a number of times and asked how everything was. The wine list was also very good.
Is Nolan's a solid four star review, no but there trying hard to get there, and the wait staff had such a good attitude, that really put them in contention. Nolan's is surrounded by touristy restaurants, so if you want to get away from that, Nolan's truly shines!
This place had a great ambiance but by the time we left it had all but disappeared. The waitress and the cooks were slow which depleted two hours of my life. The food was mediocre at best and my family was depressed when the bill was presented to us.
This is not fine dining and I am sure you can find a better restaurant in the area for half the price.
Not fine dining. Don't be fooled by the fine dining claim. Don't dress too nice either  polos and khaki shorts with sandals were the norm. The only thing fine dining about it are the prices. Ambience is nice with the live entertainment in the background with candles. Other than that the shrimp with bacon is a good appetizer, salad dressing is "homemade" but not good and they give way too much, the drinks are great, lobster was chewy and flavorless, filet was good but the mashed potatoes gross with the bacon flavor. The waitress was overwhelmed with just two tables and it took her four times of passing the bill to realize that my credit card was in there. Way overpriced to be "fine dining"
Review Source:Wow, my new favorite place in Gulf Shores. Â The atmosphere is great. Â Service was wonderful. Â The food was fabulous. Â I had the Veal Scallopini
My husband had the Filet Mignon with added crabmeat cream sauce. Â Oh and the crab claw appetizers were melt-in-your mouth good. Â Did I mention that the wine was good. Â You won't be disappointed.
