The weekend buffet is beautiful.  Too much food to list but the fruit was fresh & sweet.  Tip: don't forget to ask for your mimosa, & you can ask your waitress for something from the kitchen (toast, tortillas, waffles, pancakes).  The service was great, thank you "Stevie".  It's good to see the owner participating in the daily operations of his/her business. Thanks to Norma and Daniel. When taking a family of 6 out to breakfast it can be expensive but it was money well spent this morning.

I am rather surprised by the poor reviews. My husband and I love the Sunday brunch 13.00 unbeatable deal mimosas bottomless, good coffee omelette stand, crispy home made hash browns, excellent fresh blueberry hot cakes, large screens so hubby does not miss the sports what is not to love. Add to this pastries fruit and  salad bar and always surprises, wet or dry ribs enchiladas, tacquitos etc. Also best soups homemade anywhere and very good sandwiches I do not recommend dinner but breakfast is great and lunches are good and we feel like part of the family by the warm welcome and good service every time we go a great value

would give this place a zero if I could. It's listed twice on YELP; Once as being in Salinas but it is really in Prunedale (an unincorporated town) Either way ..........avoid it. I think the only reason it is still in business is the regular customers that just hang out. We went today just after lunch time. There was one cook/cleaner/helper and one wait/lead/cashier. The service was terrible (slow, no water refills, had to ask for my salad as my sandwich was being served) We came with two toddlers. There is a rather limited senior/children's menu that is nearly the same as the regular menu but you get $1.00 off ($6.99) and only half a sandwich. We just wanted one grilled cheese sandwich, cut in half and did not want the included sides of fries/salad or a soup. We explained that to the waiter and he said he had to charge us full price ($7.99) for the grilled cheese sandwich because the register is computerized. OK, agreed. Thought we were on the same page. MUCH later we were ready to go. Never received  the to-go-box we asked for. Saw the bill and it included 2 grilled HALF sandwiches from the seniors meal  at $13.98????? For one crummy. barely melted processed cheese sandwich? with nothing else? Are you kidding me? I expressed my amazement to the waiter and he argued that that was how he had to charge us. even though we had had this conversation when ordering. He offered to give us a "discount" although I wasn't sure why we needed a discount since we were being incorrectly charged in the first place. He called the owner and I was able to explain myself and he explained himself to her. They finally agreed to a new bill,  charging what we should have been charged in  the first place but with much wasted time, drama, arguing, loud swearing by my daughter and much unpleasantness. Was it worth the big fight over double charging? No, probably not. I could have paid the bill and just never returned. In hind sight, if I had to do it over again, that is what I would do. But the fact that it took all that drama to be billed fairly for crummy service and poorly made, overpriced food.............thought I needed to share. There are too many choices out there for a quick, inexpensive meal to put up with a NORMA's experience.  Need a quick bite for some hungry kids........go to Burger King, go to McDonald's, go to subway. Go across the parking lot to Safeway and have the deli make you a sandwich.   They are all close by and WAYYYYYYYYYYYY better.
