The food is okay, not a big selection, but it's Smithfield. What do you expect? The owners never seem happy and I swear they take forever to fill our drinks even though the place is mostly empty everytime we go. It's the only buffet in town so if you want to gorge yourself and question your judgement afterwards, this is the place to go.
Review Source:I was once a regular at this #1 Chinese restaurant. I changed my mind after half their hot-bar buffet table broke down and they tried compensating for it by turning up the temperature of the other one. They succeeded in steaming up the restaurant and roasting their patrons. Additionally, they burned up food on one half of the buffet and left the rest of the food stone cold.
I question the judgement of any restaurant that would serve food at a buffet that is below temperature. They are asking for a raging case of food poisoning for their patrons.
I recommend Tops China across the street.
The family loves this place. The kids like the buffet but I'm sure it's because they can pick their dessert. Â We've been here twice and the food was fresh although it tasted a little different the second visit...not sure if they had a different cook. Â Although the food was fresh there was too much sauce for my taste. Â I also thought it was a little too salty but again, the rest of my family thought it was great. Â I'll come back if I'm outvoted; otherwise I'll try to steer the family to another local Chinese restaurant to see if we can find something a little better.
